A new role has arisen with our highly successful, established and expanding client. With an extensive employee benefits list- making this business a great "employer of choice"!! Our client are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. To work with the Sales Director to achieve sales and business targets as directed for work in connection with Commercial Projects. Contracted working hours are 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday however until September 2020 the business is working on 20% reduced hours. Salary £40k per annum plus bonus.
Overview of Responsibilities
•To achieve agreed sales and business objectives relating to targeted growth.
•To assist in the development and implementation of the Sales and Marketing Plan
•To regularly liaise with the Sales Director and colleagues in Sales and technical staff in, providing regular updates on progress and development, at the same time as highlighting any potential issues.
•To develop key contacts at senior levels of major target organisations.
•To make sales presentations to clients and work colleagues, as required.
•To produce sales statistics and information on a weekly and ad-hoc basis.
•To attend regular internal and external Sales Team meetings.
•To pro-actively manage existing, and develop new, customer relationships through a CRM system.
•To attend Trade Exhibitions and Industry events as required.
•To develop and maintain competitor and market knowledge.
•To strictly adhere to the Company’s selling practices and methods in accordance with FCA rules and CICAIR code of conduct
•Act as an ambassador within the brand
Experience / Skills
•A highly successful track record of setting and achieving Sales targets ideally in the construction industry.
•An in depth understanding of the construction industry and specifically awareness of the Building Control Approved Inspector market.
•Excellent Customer Relationship Management skills with ability to identify and match our products with new and existing customers
•The ability to identify market opportunities
•Proven ability to persuade and influence
•Excellent communication skills, written and oral
•Ability to motivate self and influence others.
•Strong commercial and market awareness.
•Knowledge of FCA Regulations and CICAIR code of conduct
•Full UK driving licence
