Plant Fitter

Plant Fitter required to work for a leading Civil Engineering firm in the East Midlands, Based in Nottingham. This is a new position within the business due to an increase in fleet and work load. Typical projects include Highways, Maintenance, Minor Civils, Surfacing & local authority and public realm works. A van will be provided as well as the opportunity of over time which will be offered for hours outside of the Monday - Friday 8:00 - 17:00 - to be dicussed further down the line. Key Responsibilities: * Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical problems with equipment * Service a wide variety of machines on-site * Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems * Complete job cards to a high standard promptly and within a given time frame * Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment * Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards Key Skills: * Ability to service a wide range of Rollers, Pavers and other light plant machinery as well as Transits and Vans * Investigate & diagnose technical problems, which involve climbing on top & underneath the plant machinery * Working as part of a team * Excellent verbal, written and critical thinking skills * Ability to work without supervision Van provided. Working hours - Monday to Friday between 8 am and 5 pm
