Key responsibilities include: * Reporting and working with the Project Manager. * As built Surveys. * Setting out Groundworks, Plots, Drainage, Roads & Sewers * Raising technical queries when needed. * Setting out with Robotic/ Leica. Site Engineer Requirements: * CSCS card. * Previous experience with Robotic. * Previous experience in setting out groundwork's and RC Frame * Degree in Civil Engineering or Time Served. * SSSTS or SMSTS - Not Essential. We are looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor with prior Highways experience to join our team on an initial 12 month contract. You will be responsible for the preparation of target prices in line with contract from project inception to target agreement and contract management - sending enquiry documentation, quotation assessment, task order award and instructions to supply chain where required. Key Responsibilities: * Managing variations of contracts * Ensuring contractual obligations are achieved within budget and delivered on time * Preparing and undertaking regular cost analysis. * Attending and understanding of handover meetings with the commercial department to ensure full understanding of the awarded contracts * Working with the site teams to capture additional value opportunities * Raising applications and invoices * Have sound knowledge of measuring works (standard Method of Measurement knowledge) * Negotiating final accounts while maintaining future working relationships * Assist in commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team Qualifications and Experience: * Awareness, understanding and working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the Building and Civil Engineering industry * Experience of JCT + NEC standard suite of Contracts * At least 2 years of practical hands on Quantity Surveying Experience within the Construction industry. Plant Fitter required to work for a leading Civil Engineering firm in the East Midlands, Based in Nottingham. This is a new position within the business due to an increase in fleet and work load. Typical projects include Highways, Maintenance, Minor Civils, Surfacing & local authority and public realm works. A van will be provided as well as the opportunity of over time which will be offered for hours outside of the Monday - Friday 8:00 - 17:00 - to be dicussed further down the line. Key Responsibilities: * Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical problems with equipment * Service a wide variety of machines on-site * Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems * Complete job cards to a high standard promptly and within a given time frame * Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment * Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards Key Skills: * Ability to service a wide range of Rollers, Pavers and other light plant machinery as well as Transits and Vans * Investigate & diagnose technical problems, which involve climbing on top & underneath the plant machinery * Working as part of a team * Excellent verbal, written and critical thinking skills * Ability to work without supervision Van provided.
