Project Manager - Specialist Contractor

A leading North West based contractor, who specialise in the supply, installation and maintenance of fire and security systems are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team. This is a family owned company with almost two decades of reputable trading history behind them. Due to sustained business growth, a Project Manager ideally from a Fire and Security background is required to join their team, working on sites across the North West. This contractor work directly for Tier One Main Contractors as well as various public and private sector clients direct as the principal contractor on site.
Your new role
You will take the lead in the day to day management and co-coordination of multiple projects across the North West, which will include the installation and maintenance of CCTV, Fire, Site Access and security systems for a variety of public and private sector clients. In this role you will work closely with Sales and Commercial teams in the planning and programming of works, contributing to the completion of RAMS along with the Health & Safety team, and lead site visits prior to work commencing. You will co-coordinate and manage teams of technicians, engineers and labourers in the delivery on work across multiple projects, ensuring works are delivered on time and in budget for every site in your remit. You will ensure the highest standards of health and safety on site are maintained, and will report weekly on progress for all projects within your remit. You will oversee all resource and procurement of equipment and materials for each site, and work closely with the Commercial team to ensure valuations are accurate, including any variations to contracted works. You will ensure any issues on site are amended quickly and cost effectively, bringing delays back on track and getting the best from your site teams.
What you'll need to succeed
You are an experienced Project Manager. Experience in fire, security, access and cctv systems is not essential but ideal. You are computer literate, including in office 365 packages such as Excel and Word, and have programmed similar works before; experience using Microsoft Project is ideal. You can demonstrate commercial acumen and cost saving abilities in works you have previously delivered.
