Joiner/Pattern Maker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Joiner/Pattern Maker based in Alfreton, Derbyshire. You will be working for a leading company that produces bespoke precast concrete solutions for a wide range of projects ranging from new build commercial and residential, civil and structural engineering, hard landscaping and public art. Please see below for job details: Primary function(s) Reporting to the departmental works supervisor you will be responsible for the manufacture and alteration of timber and steel moulds in accordance with workshop drawings to allow the casting of precast units on various high-profile projects. Role and Responsibilities Carrying out alterations on existing moulds to accommodate changes to profile, length, fixing positions. Mould refurbishment to maintain agreed contract tolerances and specification. Manufacture of new moulds in accordance with mould specification and workshop drawings. Building of stillages and support frames to allow transportation of precast units in and around site. Factory maintenance and development as required.Skills Required Ability to read and understand working drawings. Good technical knowledge of precast concrete methods and procedures. Ability to follow instruction and work unsupervised. Attention to detail. Health and Safety awareness. Time management and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Commitment and focus. Remuneration: £13.00 per hour for first month of probation, if successful passed will increase to £14.00 per hour, after 6 months completed successfully will increase to £15.00 per hour.
