Estimator (Basic QS Experience) Location - RM14 £60K-£70K Applicants must have over 8 years experience My client is an M&E Contractor who specialise within the Residential & Commercial sectors. Typical projects valued around £1m to £20m+. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for progression and development with a well-established M&E contractor. Our clients looking to recruit a Senior Estimator who is electrical or mechanical bias but has knowledge of both Elec and Mech Estimating, they would also require the candidates to have basic QS experience Duties & Responsibilities Preparing detailed estimates for M&E projects Submission of M&E Tenders Ensuring all deadlines are met Cost Value reconciliations (CVRs) Managing monthly project cost reports in time for monthly Negotiation of variations, calculations & settlement of final accounts Cash Flow forecasting Management of subcontractor accounts wide range of design & build and refurbishment projects, providing mechanical services (HVAC) to buildings in commercial, education, residential and industrial sectors. Liaising with clients & contractors Obtaining and verifying Sub-Contractor quotations for specialist items Develop Bid Cost Estimates for M&E based tenders Experience working within an M&E Contractor Take off from drawings and interpreting specifications Dealing with post tender queries / negotiations Previous experience in a M&E Estimator role Fully computer literate with MS Office Software Experience of using Estimation Software Good administration and documentation skills An industry applicable ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent or an extensive amount of Estimating experience Strong communication skills For further information please email (url removed) / (phone number removed)
