Quantity Surveyor/ Cost Manager - Remote
Overview
Our clients are a currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor/ Cost Manager to join their growing team, working remotely from home with the occasional requirement to travel to client project sites.
The successful candidate would ideally be based in the South/ South-West for ease of commuting when required and be comfortable with working from home in an on-going basis. There is also the option to use the companies Bristol office should you prefer more of a balance with home working.
The ideal candidate will be at assistant-intermediate level, have experience of pre-contract project stage and be capable of handling take-offs/ estimating. Preferably with some experience of working client side for a consultancy however candidates with a background from contractor side will also be considered.
Successful applicants will meet the following criteria:
Minimum 3years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally working at the design and costing stage of projects.
Experience in commercial or built environment projects.
Well versed in cost management, valuation, estimating, change management and risk management.
Preferably experience with both JCT & NEC contracts, however JCT is more important for this position.
Ideally be working towards RICS membership or chartership – we will provide support to achieve chartership if the person desires this.

Overview
Our clients are a currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor/ Cost Manager to join their growing team, working remotely from home with the occasional requirement to travel to client project sites.
The successful candidate would ideally be based in the South/ South-West for ease of commuting when required and be comfortable with working from home in an on-going basis. There is also the option to use the companies Bristol office should you prefer more of a balance with home working.
The ideal candidate will be at assistant-intermediate level, have experience of pre-contract project stage and be capable of handling take-offs/ estimating. Preferably with some experience of working client side for a consultancy however candidates with a background from contractor side will also be considered.
Successful applicants will meet the following criteria:

·Collate and calculate information required to assist the wider Commercial team in the production and maintenance of a detailed 'cost to complete' including schedules of Subcontractor 'liabilities'.
·Liaise with operational and engineering staff to maintain site records.
Experience & Qualifications:
·Able to communicate effectively with site team and subcontractors.

·A self-starter with a flexible but robust approach, a good team player and able to work as part of a team.
