Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

Estimator / Quantity Survey to work on small Civils, Construction and Building projects in the South East, this also includes working in the Rail environment. £30k – £45K plus package.

My client have an immediate requirement for a Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. This position is based at their office in Maidstone, and our general area of operation being the South East of England and London.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding business with real development opportunities within the company as the commercial team is still developing.

Main Duties:

• Assisting in preparing quotes / estimates and accounts
• Assist with and ensuring optimum commercial return is achieved from projects
• Assist with the procurement of subcontractors, including issuing enquiries, analysis of quotations, financial negotiations and preparation of sub-contract order.
• Attend site meetings as required and carry out site measures for quotations and applications for completed works.
• Collate information for the monthly cost/value reconciliation’s
• Preparing details for applications and final accounts, both for main contract and sub contracts.

Skills needed as Estimator / Quantity Surveyor:

• Experience within the construction and building sector
• First class analytical skills and highly numerable with a flair for figures.
• Computer literate with good proven competency in MS Excel and Office.
• Good negotiating skills
• Degree in ONC/HNC level
• 2 years experience within a similar role
• CSCS card
