Design Manager £45-55k + Car & Package West Midlands The Company My client are a national contractor with a requirement for their West Midlands office. This team has a turnover of £80-100m and manage schemes up to £40m. The leading company work across a variety of sectors; commercial, ministry of defence, health and fire stations. Their large network of regional offices across the UK ensure the local relationships remain strong in order to achieve what both the client and community want and need. The Role The successful Design Manager (or senior design manager) needs to have the ability to take schemes from 'cradle to grave' and be able to manage projects up to £30-40m. This role entails reporting directly to the head of design. Typical Responsibilities include… * Assist with Bid Management, from first enquiry through to contract awarded * Manage the Design Team throughout the tender process * Analyse Tender Documentation to identify risk, opportunity, insufficient information & incorrect design * Develop innovative design solutions to client briefs with input from the professional team and sub-contractors * Review the design on an on-going basis, identify potential interface problems in Construction and resolve within the Design Team.
