Senior Quantity Surveyor Newquay, Cornwall £35,000 - £50,000 + Package An exciting Cornwall based Contractor offering modular solutions to a range of industry markets, which will soon add housing to its project portfolio, is seeking to recruit an experienced Senior QS to join their expanding team. The role incorporates both site and office based functions and would entail having responsibility from project inception to turnkey across the range of projects which can be based anywhere in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a relevant university degree (surveying, construction and civil & structural engineering) or professional accreditation/qualification from Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). In addition, you should demonstrate a strong track record of professional experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor. Your strong skills in numeracy, estimation and budgeting will be matched by excellent communication skills, negotiation skills and the ability to analyse information/ problem-solve and work as part of a small team. In addition to managing the full commercial process from feasibility to final account, you will also carry out Site visits/sub-contract meetings, Negotiatiing with Suppliers, Forecasting cash-flow and networking.
