Site Engineer and Land Surveyor Reporting to: Project Manager/Site Agent Location: Sussex South UK site based - must be located within 1 hour's drive from site Salary 45k dependent on experience My client is a market leader in the design and implementation of ground and water remediation solutions for land restoration. Their applied technologies for contaminated soil and water treatment, together with an expert waste management capability, delivers measurable, cost and programme benefits for all their clients. The type of work my client undertakes is Bulk excavation on site moving and shifting earth of site to their waste treatment hub where they decontaminate the earth and bring it back to site after testing. Job Purpose Statement The purpose of this role is to provide all the setting out and surveying requirements of the site and the business. You will report directly to the Site/Projects Manager for your duties as well as the Contracts Manager for the projects you will be required to work on. Working Relationships * All Internal departments * Client and his representatives * Directors Job Accountabilities * For accurately setting out the works on site * Re-measure quantities of cut/fill, stockpiles and areas when required * Maintaining up to date information for the project * Recording locations of testing * Record keeping of site activities as required * Constructing required 3D models for use with the GPS software used by our own plant * Skills and Aptitude * Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders on all levels * Ability to work well under pressure and work to tight deadline * Ability to manage and consider multiple tasks across multiple projects at any one time * Be proficient in the use of Total stations, automatic levels, surveying software, 3D modelling and general computer software * Organisational skills * Ability to prioritise * Proactivity * Communication skills (verbal and written) * Commercial Acumen * Integrity and trust * Professional and confident * Effective communication skill and the ability to communicate with people at all levels * Have an awareness of current H&S legislation, CDM 2015 and other relevant construction industry legislation Experience * Proficient use of Total Stations and all surveying equipment * Earthworks setting out and measurement * Quantification of cut, fill and stockpile volumes * Surveying software and 3D modelling * Contaminated land * Geotechnical testing * Record keeping Qualifications * Ideally possess a qualification in surveying * Preferred : HNC or higher If you feel you are an ideal candidate for this role please contact Daniel Lewis on (Apply online only) or email
