Quantity Surveyor

An exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor has arisen at an expanding Regional Contractor based in Worksop. This is a great opportunity to join a general builder working across construction, civil engineering and housing sectors to deliver quality new build and refurbishment projects. Duties:- - Office based Quantity Surveyor position with regular visits to site - Commercial management of projects ranging from £100k - £2m - Procurement of multiple sub-contractors and organising payments - Re-measurements of work and reporting on project costs - Identification of variations and additional works - Working in a team environment reporting to a Commercial Manager To be successful in your application as you will have experience working for as a Quantity Surveyor for a building contractor on general building projects. You will need to be a proactive individual who can evaluate project risks and opportunities. The company is a growing, privately-owned business where you will gain experience across multiple sectors - this variety develops your range of skills and keeps the role both interesting and challenging. The company has a focus across the training and development so expect plenty of internal and external training along with support from the senior commercial team. Another major benefit is the work is local to the Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire region. This is a permanent, full-time Quantity Surveyor position which has a guideline salary of £36,000 - £42,000 + company car or car allowance option, pension, healthcare and additional benefits.
