Assistant Site Manager - Top 10 Main Contractor

A highly successful UK wide main contractor are looking to bolster their team in their South West region due to their huge growth plans forecasted. Operating across all sectors from commercial, health, industrial and education, the need at present is for their construction division - working predominantly across several school contracts in the area. They are looking to take on an Assistant Site Manager to work alongside the an existing operational team and to have full involvement and assistance for the entirety of the project. As well as co-managing the teams of sub contractors, you will be tasked to assist the site team to manage the building project in accordance with agreed timescales, quality and cost. This role will initially be based on a £4m new build school scheme in Plymouth. The ideal candidate MUST have: * 6 - 12 months hands on site experience as a trainee or assistant * Construction related qualification preferred * Competent knowledge of Health & Safety * Ambition to progress to Site Management position within the next 1 - 3 years (depending on experience) This is a great opportunity to join one of the South West most successful contractors with a solid reputation for delivery and quality.
