An opportunity to join a specialist Electrical & Mechanical contractor which is going through a period of rapid expansion. With extensive knowledge and experience of the UK Airport sector the client works predominately in airport construction. In addition, they deliver Electrical & Mechanical installation projects, rail/tube and office refurbishment. While the project works are predominately based at Gatwick Airport with visits to Heathrow Airport, they have the ability to deliver UK and international projects. This will present an exciting chance for the right candidate to become a key individual upon joining the project delivery team in an organisation that promotes growth from within. Role: ? The Planner will provide a full planning service for all projects including WBS, Cost and resource loading. ? The Planner will ensure that project initiation, design, delivery and close out are all clearly highlighted and planned appropriately. ? Interacts daily with project manager, AMA Manager, commercial and client where appropriate. ? Review and analyse schedules against the baseline, identifying critical path activities and performance variance. Overview / Responsibilities: The Planner is responsible for the following tasks, some of which they will implement directly Assists in the preparation of schedule data for tenders and contracts: ? Work with Project Managers to determine schedule dates for work activities and milestones to support the project schedule; ? Establishes work sequence and activity durations for assigned projects. ? Attend programme & progress meetings with Client ? Review and analyse the supplier?s schedules submitted Requirements: ? You must have working knowledge of commonly used Programme Management software, ie Primvera & MS Project ? Establish work sequence and activity durations for assigned projects. ? Provide schedule knowledge on a continuous basis to assist in work planning and interfacing with others; ? Understanding of Electrical & Mechanical works, preferably in an Airport/Aviation environment or a willingness to learn would be advantageous ? Good written and verbal communication skills ? Function effectively as part of a team ? Ability to develop or maintain relationships with clients ? Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times ? Dependability ? Excellent time management and organisational skills
