Fawkes & Reece have an opportunity for a temporary Site Engineer located in Edinburgh for a well-established, main contractor in the UK. Our client specialises in key construction projects including new build and refurbishments of hotel and leisure, commercial, industrial, health and education. As Site Engineer you will have experience on setting out working on a range of contracts RC frame multi storey ideally student accommodation, high rise residential properties, hotels etc.). You should also have solid experience working in the construction industry especially on RC Frame developments. As Site Engineer you will be required for an immediate start ASAP for 18 to 24 months work. This project is a multi-story RC frame, accommodation project. Previous experience: • 5 years minimum Site Engineer / Setting out Engineer experience. • Able to use Leica TS16 • Experience on commercial and RC frame projects ideally hotels and student accommodation • You must have Main contract experience in contracts in excess of £25m. • You MUST be able to demonstrate a proven track record with previous employers confirming length of service and continuity of employment. • Able to use Leica and Robotic equipment. • SSSTS or SMSTS • CSCS Key responsibilities: • General Setting out to included: RC frame, groundworks Drainage, Manhole, bore hole chambers, Surface water, Pop ups, service trenches, boreholes, ground beams, Retaining walls, Sheet piles, capping beams, Slab and the relevant tests and As-Built, Transition roads and curbs. • Surveying and investigation work. • Report to Site Manager • Liaising with sub-contractors • Adhere to H & S Compliance throughout the Site. • Ensure quality of works meets the clients demands. Fawkes and Reedce are working with a well-established UK main contractor who is seeking an experienced Internals Manager for a high-profile Student Accommodation project in Glasgow. Our client specialises in key construction projects across hotel & leisure, commercial, industrial, health, and education sectors, delivering both new build and refurbishment schemes. The Role Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing internal finishes from first fix through to final handover and snagging, ensuring a high-specification finish delivered on time and within budget. This is a fit-out focused role, ideally suited to someone with experience delivering luxury apartments or high-end residential projects. Key Responsibilities • Supervise, coordinate, and monitor sub-contractors performance • Manage all finishing trades on site • Deliver high-quality internal finishes to programme and budget • Oversee works from first fix through to snagging and completion • Prepare and manage snagging lists • Report on subcontractor performance, progress, safety, and quality • Always maintain excellent health & safety standards • Ensure the site remains tidy, safe, and efficient • Review drawings and specifications, reporting errors or omissions • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations, and company quality procedures • Attend progress meetings with clients and stakeholders • Build and maintain strong client relationships Experience & Qualifications • Proven experience as an Internals Manager with strong fit-out experience • Background in high-end residential, luxury apartments, or major commercial projects • SMSTS (preferred) • Strong knowledge of construction processes and finishing trades • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Highly organised with strong problem-solving ability • IT literate (Microsoft Office) • Enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, and proactive How to Apply To apply, please forward your CV to Hazel Baron via this advert.
