We are seeking an experienced and commercially aware Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of construction projects across a range of sectors and contract values. Projects may range from specialist works such as fire door installations and compliance upgrades through to major refurbishment and construction schemes valued between 10 million and 15 million. This is primarily a site-based/static role, with the successful candidate based on a designated project. However, there may be occasional requirements to attend the head office or other company locations for meetings, reporting, or commercial reviews. Preparing and issuing sub-contract enquiries to an approved supply chain as well as evaluating tender returns and preparing comparison assessment of quotations upon receipt Performing value management and cost control activities for the benefit of the contract Managing the change control process, capturing, notifying, and agreeing variations and contractual claims Maintaining awareness of different contracts, ensuring all current legislations and document control is adhered to Valuing works and preparing payment application to clients and payment notices to sub-contractors Proactively managing cashflow and chasing cash collection to ensure prompt payment Monitoring and reporting forecast against actual costs and value throughout the programme of activities, including site visits where required Preparing and analysing profit, loss reports and cost savings in support of the contract and for the Management Team to review To be able to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, clients, and supply chains. The Role The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical installations on projects ranging from small works through to major design-and-build schemes. Working closely with the pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams, you will play a key role in securing new business opportunities and ensuring tenders are delivered to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings, and employer requirements. Prepare detailed electrical estimates and cost plans for a variety of M&E projects. Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. Carry out take-offs and quantify materials, labour, and plant requirements. Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions. Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal departments throughout the tender process. Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings when required. Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and bid documentation. Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotations, and tender information. Support handover meetings with project delivery teams following successful contract awards. Monitor market trends, labour rates, and material costs to ensure competitive pricing.

Due to growth within the business, they require an experienced fabric/fit out estimator to join the team. Your new role As the lead Estimator you will be working as part of the fit out team and will be supporting on projects ranging between £50K £3M, consisting mainly of existing buildings requiring a full refurb into the modern world. The Estimator will need to show evidence they can accurately produce tenders, pitch and present.
