Clerk of Works/ Building Inspector We have a great opportunity in a large client with a superb 10+ year workflow of projects. You will be an experienced Clerk of works/ Building inspector, and a key person in this growing civil and structural works team. You ll have technical knowledge in a range of civil engineering construction techniques and projects. You ll carry out Clerk of works duties at sites across Yorkshire and the North East, work in collaboration with internal design, contractors and clients. Key deliverables include: Ensure that civils and structural building work is carried out at sites in accordance with standards, policies and procedures. Assist in the design and management of civil engineering elements of projects. Use site surveys, existing plans, drawings, codes of practice, technical specifications and technical knowledge to manage civil engineering contractors during the construction phase of projects. Assist in the preparation and/or review of overall site construction programmes, working with the contractor, designer and project manager. Conduct Quality, H&S and Environmental Audits as required and prepare weekly/monthly reports We're ideally looking for a forward thinking, systems savvy person Required Qualifications and experience: Working as a clerk of works/ site inspection/ construction manager, for the construction of such as masonry buildings, steel portal frames and reinforced concrete foundations and structures.
