Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our Client, Walsall Council , to appoint a conscientious, resourceful and dedicated Security Assistant to join their security team, ensuring the care, safety and security of visitors, building, and exhibits. Your duties will include: Promoting the safe and secure running of the venue during opening hours by monitoring CCTV, patrolling the building, screening contractors, and supporting health and safety. Acting as a key holder, opening and locking down the site, operating alarm systems, and being on-call to attend site out-of-hours when required. Supporting the invigilation of gallery spaces as required, with an emphasis on visitor experience and customer care. Appropriately dealing with any security incidents and emergency situations as they arise. Assisting with practical aspects of a busy venue, including monitoring deliveries, supporting set-ups for events and hires, and light cleaning duties. Essential Requirements: Must be 18 years old and over. Valid SIA licence is essential. CCTV qualification is beneficial, not essential. Previous door guarding experience is preferred. Local to Walsall. Reliable and punctual. Good communication skills and friendly manner. Ability to work well as part of a team. Conscientious with an attention to detail. Knowledge regarding best practice and SIA security trained.

Traffic Regulation Order Engineer Daily rate: 17.47 PAYE Location: Coventry office based with 3 days work from home per week Contract: 7 Months Working hours: Monday-Friday 9 to 5 Overview: Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Coventry Borough Council for a Traffic Regulation Order Engineer to provide dedicated engineering support for the delivery of Traffic Regulation Orders associated with the Council's Local Network Improvement Programme (LNIP) and externally funded capital transport projects. The successful candidate will be expected to manage a programme of TROs to ensure statutory processes are completed efficiently and schemes can be delivered in accordance with funding and programme deadlines. Job Purpose: The Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Engineer will support the delivery of Coventry City Council's Local Network Improvement Programme (LNIP) and externally funded capital schemes by managing the preparation, consultation, processing and implementation of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs). Working within the Traffic Management team, the role will support the delivery of statutory traffic orders associated with parking, speed limit and movement restriction schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and supporting the timely delivery of capital investment programmes. Essential Experience Experience of preparing and delivering Traffic Regulation Orders within a local authority or similar highway environment. Sound knowledge of traffic management legislation, particularly the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and associated regulations. Experience of managing statutory consultation and public consultation processes. Experience of preparing technical reports and presenting recommendations to senior officers or elected members. Experience of working with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver highway or transport schemes. Experience of managing competing priorities and delivering work to programme deadlines. Essential Knowledge required: Traffic Regulation Order procedures and statutory processes. Highway traffic management principles. Relevant traffic management and highway legislation. Microsoft Office applications and document management systems. Good understanding of consultation and stakeholder engagement. Essential Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret legislation and apply it to practical highway schemes. Strong organisational and project management skills. Ability to analyse objections and develop appropriate recommendations. Good stakeholder management and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a team. Experience using GIS, CAD or TRO management systems.

Estates Surveyor Daily rate: 450 per day Location: Coventry office based with occasional work from home Contract: 3 months with review for extension Working hours: Monday-Friday 9 to 5 Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Coventry Borough Council for a Estates Surveyor to provide support in managing a substantial case load of rent reviews and lease renewals ensuring the cases are actioned within required timeframes. Purpose of the Role: The post holder will have A good knowledge of Landlord & Tenant legislation, property management and RICS professional codes of practice. They will have a good understanding of the rent review and lease renewal process and the ability to carry out professional work and negotiations with limited supervision. Responsibilities will include: Negotiate wayleaves, easements and access licences and respond promptly to applications to assign, sub-let and alter Work with the Property Management team in the preparation and setting of service charge budgets; and in the identification and carrying out of repair, improvement and health and safety works. Monitor rent arrears within allocated portfolio and work with Incomes team and Legal team to ensure each arrears case is considered tactically to protect the Council's position Manage the void properties within allocated portfolio ensuring appropriate actions are taken to both minimize the void period and to secure the best terms for a new letting. Carry out property inspections, build relationships with tenants and investigate queries and complaints, reporting promptly to Estates Surveyor Manager with recommendations to resolve issues. Any other duties and responsibilities within the range of the salary grade.
