Our client, a well-established leading building contractor, have an excellent opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join their growing business. With offices based in Verwood, they provide accredited building services to clients throughout the corporate, commercial and public sectors. We are looking for a Small Works Contracts Manager on a permanent basis to work alongside our existing Contracts team and to supervise works within the, Local Authorities and Social Housing. Duties to include: Financial cost analysis of projects Construction phase plans Programme of works Understanding what the client or company wants to achieve Attending pre-construction meetings with clients Agreeing on timescales, costs, and resources needed to deliver a project Drawing up detailed plans to achieve each stage of a project Negotiating with contractors and suppliers Overseeing several projects at the same time Ensuring that each stage of the project happens on time, on budget, and to a high standard Reporting regularly on progress to the client and stakeholders Resolving any issues or delays Meeting HSE regulations and protocols throughout all sites and following company protocols Meeting with Site Managers to ensure they are clear on all aspects of the project Communicating with staff at every level Requirements: Experience in a similar role within the construction industry Used to working on multiple projects varying from 500 - 10,000 Confident with Microsoft Office programs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritise and deal with multiple demands Up to date in technical and H&S knowledge Excellent planning and organisational skills Effective time management skills Good communication and IT skills Experience managing multiple projects at a time Must be well organised and customer focussed Full UK Driving license essential Benefits after successful completion of probation: Company Vehicle provided along with Fuel card 21 days holiday + bank holidays Pension contribution Life insurance If you feel that this is a great opportunity for you, please send your CV today! Working alongside the Head of Business Development and Marketing, the primary focus of the role is to complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and tender submissions to the highest possible standard within strict deadlines. Meeting tender and PQQ deadlines is the top priority of this role and takes precedence over all other responsibilities. Alongside this, the role supports business development activity through networking, accreditation management, and marketing assistance. This role is critical to the continued growth and success of the business Responsibilities include: Tendering & PQQ Management Working closely with estimators to prepare PQQs and tenders. Ensure all submissions are completed accurately, professionally, and to deadline, with quality and compliance as a priority. Manage tender portals, clarifications, and submission requirements. Maintain and update standard tender responses, company information, and supporting documentation, monitoring tender pipelines and key deadlines, ensuring nothing is missed. Business Development & Networking Support the Head of Business Development and Marketing by attending networking events, meetings, and industry functions. Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders. Assist in identifying and developing new potential business leads. Accreditations & Compliance Support the annual renewal of company accreditations, certifications, and memberships. Gather and coordinate required evidence, policies, and supporting information. Liaise with internal teams to ensure compliance documentation is up to date. Marketing and Communications Support Support the Head of Business Development & Marketing with marketing and social media activity. Assist in gathering project information, photographs, case studies, and updates for social media posts. Coordinate internally to obtain content and information required for marketing communications. Help maintain a consistent and professional company image across platforms. About you: You have a background in working on the tender and bid documentation of a construction or similar organisation Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Attention to detail and organisational skills. The ability to work under pressure and meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
