Our client develops and manages property in London and the USA. With over 1,000,000 square feet of prime office, retail, hotel and leisure space, the company pursues high potential acquisitions to add to its fantastic portfolio along with plenty of work in the pipeline. The selected candidate will be the Lead QS on the £20m refurbishment of a shopping centre in Wimbledon, SW London. Reporting directly into the Commercial Manager, the selected candidate will be required to provide commercial advice across the business, advising on procurement strategies and managing external suppliers (contractors, cost consultants, designers etc.) to protect the company's interests from a financial, commercial and risk perspective. This role would be suitable for a Quantity Surveyor who also has a strong appreciation of project management and a desire to work outside of the traditional Quantity Surveyor role. Key requirements: 5+ years relevant professional experience ideally gained within similar environments for a developer, main contractor or consultant. Demonstrable track record of optimising commercial outcomes for construction projects. Wide-ranging experience of subcontract commercial management and procurement. Comfortable in challenging design teams to help drive rigorous, commercial outcomes. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK's leading property developers as a technical coordinator on temporary basis, on their development in East London. Our client is seeking a technical coordinator to join their multi phased project, containing multiple RC frame towers of various heights. You will work closely with your project team and will report into the Design and Technical Leader. Responsibilities Check and process Consultant and Contractor drawing packages Issue drawings and information for construction purposes, using the correct protocols as instructed Ensure enquiries and applications go to statutory service companies and local authorities Liaise with Architects, Engineers and sub-contractors for information Assist the department in maintaining updated processes in regard to Building Regulations and any other Statutory Bodies Prepare conveyance plans Prepare and check brochure plans Internal liaison with Planning, Commercial, Construction and Sales Prepare and monitor technical specifications Prepare and release specific site documentation and Q and A Sales/Legal note in preparation of Sales launch information Obtain the necessary postal addresses for each development Provide back-up to all Technical Manager on the job Our client our ideally looking for experienced Technical Coordinators that are readily available, and are willing to pay competitive rates

Our client, who are one of the UK's leading residential developers and a FTSE 100 listed business, are looking for a Senior Site Manager to cover external façade/envelope works for their RC frame development in East London. The scheme consists of approximately 2800 homes with a mix of tenure across a number of buildings of varying height ranging from 5 - 21 storeys. You will be working on the next phase of this development, which consists of 643 units within 4 building blocks ranging from 8 - 14 storeys. Reporting into a Project Manager you will be responsible for all elements of the scheme covering external works. This would include a brickwork façade, bolt on balconies, waterproofing, soft landscaping and cladding works. Your duties will be to assist the Project Manager by assisting the build function on external works of the respective residential blocks. The role will include liaising with the build team on a day-to-day basis, along with the coordination of activities relating to the external works. Further to this, the role will require you to assist with resolving technical issues relating to the works, whilst planning works and reporting to Project Manager. You will report any shortfalls on contractor's performance to programme and quality standards to your line manager. You will ideally be degree qualified and have a proven track record working with a residential developer or main contractor at Senior Site Manager level, covering Façade/External works on large scale multi-phase developments. The business has fared exceptionally well over the past year and as a result are looking to further bolster their team. Reporting to the Head of Estimating the successful candidate will oversee 8/10 new sites a year consisting of mainly RC Frame but also a small part of traditional build schemes. The current team consists of a Senior Estimator, Estimator and a trainee all who report into the Head of Estimating. You will work with the Land and Planning departments in the preparation of Land bids as well as providing cost plan updates and prepare priced bills of quantities for the Commercial Department. The successful candidate will preferably have experience working with a residential developer if not a Tier one contractor. You should have experience of costing RC Frame projects and be able to take off and produce bills of quantities. The project consists of 180 traditional build units which are currently in build. The position will take full responsibility of the commercial management and cost effectiveness of a development in Crawley, West Sussex. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of all cost control procedures; periodically reporting to the executive team; process orders, payments and variations.
