Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on our Thames Water Capital Delivery Framework covering the South London Region. Projects requiring immediate Commercial support include: Scope 1: Relining of 2.5km of 30” Main plus open cut elements (Mar 22 to Dec 24), ‘Early Contractor Involvement’ to assist Client to assist Client with design development (Nov 21 to Jan 22) Budget of Scheme £8.5m (in development) Scope 2: New transfer main between Oxleas Wood and Farningham Hill Reservoirs via Bexley WTW (Jun 22 to Late 24), ‘Early Contractor Involvement’ to assist Client with design development (Ongoing to Apr 22) Budget of scheme between £25m and £35m (in development) The Thames Water Utilities Framework is administered on bespoke terms and conditions. We are open to candidates from all backgrounds however IChemE and NEC experience within the Utilities Sectors would be preferred but not essential. As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be part of the Commercial Team and will be responsible for managing and mentoring Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors in carrying out the administration of the commercial and financial aspects of Works in the Region. The role will involve working closely with the delivery team delivering the programme and individual projects. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor your duties and responsibilities will be: Carrying out the day-to-day administration of the commercial and financial aspects of projects. Close liaison with the Project Management Team(s) Preparing Cost and Value reporting Preparing commercial performance reports Manage procurement including labour, plant, materials and subcontract Demand forecasting VOWD forecasting Change Control Cost control Cash collection Subcontract management and liaison Skills and Knowledge Requirements: Experience in the water and waste industry is preferable Effective communication and excellent negotiation skills Able to react to constant changing workloads Good organisational skills A commercially and contractually astute individual that takes ownership of their own teams’ performance A proactive person with a disposition to take action pre-emptively to manage risk and opportunity A person with an eye for detail who can challenge and help build target costs Results driven, capable of working on own initiative and just as importantly supporting the wider team Able to converse professionally at all levels from subcontractors through to the end client Self-motivated and driven Ability to learn and master client specific software Ability to deal with large amounts of data accurately and efficiently Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Preferably degree qualified in a related area, such as Quantity Surveying What’s in it for you? 25 days' annual leave plus 8 days' bank holiday Annual bonus Pension scheme Life Assurance Company Car and Fuel Card Private Health Care

Morrison Water Services are currently looking for a forward thinking and self-motivated SHEQ Advisor to work on our Multi Utility Framework with HS2. As the project SHEQ Advisor, you will be an important part of our SHEQ team, working together with the MWS delivery teams to ensure the safe delivery of all utility/service diversion works (Water, Gas, Electricity and telecom) across the West Midlands area. The role will support operations with our client, Balfour Beatty - Vinci (BBV JV), for whom we are delivering multiple utility projects across the Midlands in a variety of different environments (from street works to green field work sites). As the project SHEQ Advisor, your duties & responsibilities will be: Advise MWS construction managers, team leaders and site operatives in the field of statutory health and safety requirements Encourage the reporting of near misses through proactive engagement with operatives and supervisors. Regularly inspect work locations and prepare and submit site inspections in a timely manner Review and approve risk assessments and method statements Verify that temporary works are implemented safely Conduct investigations of incidents and accidents identifying root cause analysis and recommendations to prevent re-occurrence Report incidents in line with MWS and our clients reporting systems & minimum requirements Compile and submit monthly KPI reports within agreed timescales to the regional SHEQ manager Deliver project inductions & undertake D&A testing (random & following incidents) Ensure actions from investigations are acted upon and assist MWS operational teams in closing out actions in a timely manner Assist MWS operation teams to deliver toolbox talks & safety briefings Support Wellbeing Campaigns and deliver toolbox talks and briefings on subject matter Assist in the identification of safety training needs for site-based personnel and bring these to the attention of the Regional SHEQ Manager Co-operate with the Health and Safety Executive in connection with their site visits Suggest, communicate and promote initiatives for accident prevention Monitor compliance with both the MWS management systems and our clients SMS Skills & Knowledge Requirements NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate Computer literate with experience of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook Appropriate Construction Skills Card (EUSR SHEA Gas/Power would be desirable) Member of IOSH Working knowledge of current UK Health and Safety legislation and best practice Knowledge of street works and locating underground utilities/services Knowledge of Temporary Works Knowledge of environmental regulations Ability to maintain records and prepare reports Ability to evaluate safety practices, procedures, programmes, attitudes, and awareness and to recommend methods of improvement Experience of delivering training modules (project inductions) Knowledge of a variety of occupational health risk environments, such as confined spaces and utilities service avoidance Ability to evaluate safe practices, procedures, programmes, attitudes and awareness and to recommend methods of improvement Ability to maintain favourable public relations Experience in delivering and implementing behaviour-based safety initiatives What’s in it for you? 25 days' annual leave plus 8 days' bank holiday Annual bonus Pension scheme Private Health Care Life Assurance Company car Applicable training to carry out your role

As a Trainee Plumber you will have the opportunity to work on behalf of Thames Water installing of Smart Meters on Single meters on domestic properties and non-household (Commercial) You will be based out of the Depo in Dartford but be required to travel in and around the entire London area. In order to be considered for this programme you need to be available on February 10th 2022 between 9am and 3pm to attend a mini assessment centre in Dartford. As part of the application process you will be required to complete a video interview. This must be completed in order to be considered for the role. You will be fully trained by gaining a basic plumbing qualification with City and Guilds with fantastic earning potential.
