Job Title: Disabled Facilities Grant Officer - Interim Location: Central East London Rate: 27.90 per hour (PAYE) / 36.78 per hour (Umbrella) Contract Type: Interim About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Disabled Facilities Grant Officer to administer Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs) and ensure that disabled residents can remain living independently in their homes. You will assess housing conditions, process grant applications, and monitor adaptation works to ensure they meet satisfactory standards. This role involves interpreting recommendations from Occupational Therapists, drawing up schedules of works, and managing financial means-test assessments. Key Responsibilities: Administer DFGs, including interpreting Occupational Therapist recommendations and drawing up schedules of works based on property inspections. Carry out financial means-test assessments and ensure compliance with the Housing Grants, Construction, and Regeneration Act. Survey residential properties and prepare specifications, drawings, and schedules of work. Manage adaptation or improvement projects, ensuring they meet building regulations and health and safety standards. Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and internal teams to resolve issues on-site. Process applications for property licences, including inspections and assessments of management standards. Take enforcement action for non-compliance with housing conditions and licensing requirements. Scrutinise schedules of works, tenders, and estimates to ensure value for money. Requirements: Experience in administering DFGs and interpreting Occupational Therapist recommendations. Knowledge of building construction, building regulations, and health and safety. Experience in surveying residential properties and preparing specifications and schedules of work. Understanding of government benefits and experience dealing with vulnerable adults and children. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision. Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health (or equivalent housing-related qualification). We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to work on a site in Cheltenham for an office refurb consisting of metal containment, lightinig and small power and Dali lighting system. Our client has a multiple growing contracts including EV car charging and solar projects that will provide future work once this project is complete. Please note we are also looking for an Electricians mate for the same project. Facilities Management Lead (Interim/Temporary) Are you an experienced Facilities Management professional ready to lead a diverse operational estate? We are seeking an Interim Facilities Management Lead to take responsibility for the day-to-day management, compliance, maintenance and operational performance of a portfolio of approximately 30 properties. You will lead a small but dedicated FM team, manage contractors and service providers, and ensure that all facilities remain safe, compliant, efficient and fit for purpose. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive service improvements, oversee planned and reactive maintenance, manage FM contracts, and play a key role in business continuity and emergency response. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage facilities operations across a multi-site operational estate. Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire safety, COSHH, statutory and environmental regulations. Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and contractor performance. Oversee FM budgets, procurement activities, service contracts and KPI delivery. Manage facilities helpdesk/inbox activities, service requests and operational issues. Produce compliance and performance reports, identifying risks and solutions. Lead space planning, office moves, workplace improvements and business continuity arrangements. Develop, coach and support the Facilities Management team to deliver excellent service standards. About You Experienced Facilities Manager with strong leadership and contractor management skills. Knowledge of building maintenance, compliance, workplace services and health & safety legislation. IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification. Able to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions and drive continuous improvement. Strong stakeholder management, reporting and budget management experience. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Purpose of the Job To be part of the maintenance and repairs team responsible for the responsive repairs functions for a portfolio of approximately 5,000 social housing units, including estate environs and liabilities to leaseholders. The role involves assisting with investigations and identification of defects and remedial works to properties. The role will also oversee the progress of repairs projects being carried out by contractors. 1. Undertake inspections and surveys following requests for repairs, including visits to tenanted properties to undertake surveys or to enable accurate programmes of work to be planned. 2. Provide specific advice with regards to, technical defects, damp, specification work, estimates and labour requirements and health & safety relating to project work. 3. Carry out any necessary contract documentation, correspondence and measurement/re-measurement as directed. Update repairs histories as required, maintain records of work undertaken and ensure that proper information is recorded and available for others to use. 4. Be responsible for the preparation and submission of survey reports and estimates and ordering of works, ensuring good value and commercial feasibility have been considered. 5.Engage specialist services and contractors in line with the procurement rules. 6. Support the Area Manager in monitoring and overseeing progress of works being carried out by contractors or DLO and undertake post inspections to ensure the work is to a good standard and is compliant with H&S and statutory regulations to ensure inconvenience to residents is kept to a minimum.

The postholder's primary responsibility will be undertaking site inspections to ensure the landlord is discharging its statutory compliance duties, identifying any areas where it is not and rectifying these with our third party contractors, as well as managing contractors to undertake any remedial action required, and then updating the compliance tracker accordingly. The postholder will also be involved in reviewing compliance certificates from contractors and identifying and actioning any remedials required. The postholder must have exceptional attention to detail, comprehensive knowledge of property related statutory compliance obligations, a suitable level of building pathology and M&E system knowledge to enable the postholder to identify what compliance works are required and relevant to each specific property, as well as project management skills to ensure contractors keep on top of work identified as being required. This post will form part of a specialist project team, and work in tandem with the Compliance Team who ensure the ongoing cyclical testing, documentation, and day to day operations are discharged.
