Our client is a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor that is well know in the retail world. They have a £12m retail refurbishment in Hammersmith where they need a Construction Manager to be No.2 on the project. This is start staright away and will be for 8 months. The project is a cut and curve refurbishment involving major structural works, heavy pilling and lift pits. Construction Manager responsibilities: - Programming amends - Sub Contractor management - H&S management - Quality Control - Client liaison - Design input - Solving Technical issues on site - Driving project, leading from the front - Recruitment where necessary - Reporting upline to Project Director. Our client is a Tier 1 Main Contractor requiring no introduction. They have a major project in the Loughborough that is coming towards end. They PC is in 2 weeks and they are looking to take on an additional finsihing managers to get the project over the line. Finishing Manager responsibilities: - Carrying out unit inspections at various stages of the build process. - Writing lists of defects and issuing non-conformance notices to subcontractors (usinh Snag-R and then issuing via email). - Meeting with contractors to discuss programme and to set target dates for works to be completed by. - Ordering any non-supply and fit materials for works to be completed. - Liaising with the Customer Care Team to schedule inspections of units that have been signed off as ready for quality control inspection. - Liaising with the NHBC / Building Control to pick up any final snag items where necessary. - Progress reporting back to the Senior Site Team. - Maintaining accurate detailed reports. - Communicating with home buyers / client reps as and when required, feeding back to the Customer Care Team on issues that may arise once occupation has taken place. - Coordinating with contractors or internal multitrader to complete all post completion defects lists. They require an experienced Construction Manager to join them on a freelance basis to work on an 18 month Commercial office block fit out in Paris. As Construction Manager you will be responsible for the on-site project delivery and client management. The successful candidate MUST be fluent in French to Manage and co-ordinate the site team, end client and all contractors working on site.
