A market leading real estate consultancy are seeking a driven and dynamic Consultant to join their expanding Sustainability consulting team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious, entrepreneurial, and rapidly expanding sustainability consultancy, working with a diverse client base to develop and support in delivering their objectives.
You would have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of Real Estate clients and advise both investors and occupiers on key sustainability topics, helping them achieving their Net Zero Carbon and wider ESG targets. You will be a member of their Energy and Certification streamline, embedded in the Sustainability team and focusing on portfolio/asset level opportunities to improve energy efficiency as well as minimising environmental impact of their existing building stock.
Minimum Requirements
Demonstrate experience in the design and delivery of energy management programmes within the built environment including utility data management, target setting, energy analysis, legislative compliance and energy auditing.
Experience in producing Energy Strategies for new and existing buildings using dynamic simulation software (IES).
Good understanding of HVAC systems.
Understanding of current and future energy related legislation (EPC, MEES, ESOS).
Working knowledge of building certification standards, BREEAM/LEED (especially refurbishment projects).
Experience in routine reporting internally and externally for client stakeholders.
Evident passion to drive energy efficiency within the built environment.
Confidence building client relationship and programme management skills.
Strong verbal and graphic communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-focused environment.
Highly motivated and self-assured individual with drive for self-development.
Desirable Expertise
Level 5 NDEA.
Experience in carrying out Life Cycle Assessments.

Contribute to the Risk Register and help resolve BIM design issues.

Retrofit Coordinator required to deliver a Local Authority Delivery Programme for Greener Homes.
Salary is circa £37,000 to £40.000. 12 month contract from 1st April to 31st March 2023 (initially). i.e expect this to be extended .

The post :
The Retrofit Coordinator will be required to:
* Be a key member of the Energy Capital led SMART Hub retrofit team and resource to support the delivery of retrofit solutions across the region.
* Undertake and /or supervise retrofit co-ordination and assessment of domestic dwellings under multiple concurrent PAS 2035 projects, including setting of targets, risk management, and budget control.
* Prepare and/or commission PAS2035 compliant surveys and documentation including risk assessments and medium-term plans for domestic dwellings, effectively capturing all required information.
* Monitor, evaluate and administer projects, conducting regular review meetings and events as prescribed in grant award documentation to meet needs of each consortium and funding bodies.
* Liaise with retrofit professionals including Co-ordinators, Assessors, Advisors, Designers, and Installers, and residents as necessary.

A global engineering consultancy based in London is looking to recruit a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join their sustainability team which works alongside organisations to help understand and manage their building projects with a specific focus on Net Zero projects.
Our clients Global Sustainability Group is a strategic collective that works directly with organisations, affiliate groups and individuals to help them understand and respond to these challenges and manage their risk.
They are a specialist advisory group that acts exclusively or as part of an integrated service and this elevates their offering above others. The role:
The Senior Sustainability Project Engineer is responsible for supporting and working with the London Sustainability Manager to help establish our clients sustainability presence in the UK and EMEA region market. The employee is responsible for the delivery of sustainability engineering/consulting services within three key operating streams (Strategic Advisory, Buildings and Places).
This role works with moderate autonomy, applying technical knowledge and skills as an individual contributor to teams and projects.
- You will be an integral member of the Global Sustainability Group and as such may work across all offices, engaging with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- You will be required to participate and support the local Sustainability Manager in marketing/business development activities, such as: organising and attending events, assisting in proposal writing and meeting Clients.
- You will already have 4 - 5 years of experience and ideally will be able to demonstrate thorough understanding of Net Zero carbon planning and energy audits and will have experience working on establishing sustainability strategies for clients organisations.
- Working in a virtual operating group with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
- Dealing with high level, urgent and confidential issues.
- Managing varied and conflicting demands to meet agreed standards and timelines.
- Coordination with internal and external consultants and disciplines.
Skills Required:
- Educated in Engineering or the Built Environment and having at least 4 - 5 years of relevant practical experience in a similar role.
- Advanced knowledge of Net Zero Carbon planning and energy auditing.
- Experience dealing with sustainability reports for planning and a good knowledge of London and UK-wide planning policy relevant to sustainability.
- Experience in carrying out Energy and Thermal modelling (including Building Regulations Part L compliance, heating/cooling loads, overheating modelling) would be desirable, in order to support the rest of the team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Being able to work independently.
Desirable:
- Experience working on strategic advisory assignments and helping clients deliver their ESG reporting targets.
- Working on other bench marking assessments (e.g., LEED, WELL, or other) would be advantageous.
