They are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join their expanding development team, supporting residential, mixed-use, and commercial schemes from acquisition through to planning consent. The role involves leading planning applications and appeals, advising internal development and acquisitions teams, assessing planning risks and opportunities, coordinating consultants and technical submissions, and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will also represent projects at planning committees and public consultations while contributing strategic planning insight to support business growth. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of professional planning experience gained within a developer, consultancy, or client-side environment, alongside a degree in Planning, Geography, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of UK planning policy, stakeholder engagement, and complex planning applications is essential, together with excellent communication, project management, and organisational skills. Our client is the specialised safety consultancy arm of a major global multidisciplinary consultancy. They are looking to hire an experienced Senior Construction Safety & CDM Consultant to join the business covering projects across the West Midlands and North West. Whilst this is a construction safety and CDM led role, there will be the opportunity for training and upskilling towards the Building Regulations side of the team, should you be interested in developing that skillset. The role is for a CDM Consultant, Assistant CDM Consultant or Principal Designer to join the team and support the Principal Designer/BRPD Director on delivering design risk management projects for clients.
