* To be responsible for delivering projects and small works associated with engineering services including:

* To compare suppliers and subcontractors' quality and costs against procurement schedules and assists in identifying their suitability for the work and provision of services.
* To prepare work programmes, ensuring activities are planned in line with available resources, having the understanding of the interfaces and coordination with other disciplines and contractors.
* To establish the procurement schedules and specifications for engaging suppliers and subcontractors.
* Procure, co-ordinate and monitor all site activities.
* To undertake site and works visits as required, attend engineering/ project/ client progress meetings to provide the necessary input to support the successful execution of the work.
* To provide tendering facilities for project works and variations to suit the business and client requirements.
* To work closely with the commercial team to manage variations and changes to the scope of work, with emphasis on receiving payment for all additional activities.
* To understand the controls for managing risk throughout all stages of the work, risk analysis, risk scheduling, risk controls and monitoring.
* To manage and set firm financial targets to meet established objectives, which will include the reporting of financial status to the General, Commercial and Operations Managers.
* Other duties as required by General, Commercial and Operations Managers.
* To develop customer relationships and provide excellent customer service to gain new opportunities through existing and new customers i.e. additional core contracts, extra works, total facilities opportunities.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
* To have a proven track record within the Electrical Contracting Industry, managing safety, people management, commercial control and quality, with the addition to the 'cradle to grave' philosophy of project delivery.
* To be in possession of City and Guilds Electrical / Instrumentation Installation and Safety qualifications.
* Experience of working on contracts with an E&I value in range from £250k to £5M.
* Strong H&S management awareness, including production of work Method Statements, Risk Assessments and understanding of Safe Systems of Work.
* Strong financial awareness including financial monitoring, control and forecasting.
* Excellent organisational skills including written and verbal communication.

Ensure effective and timely change management
Ensure Sub-Contract arrangements are put in place when required using the NEC suite of Contract Documents.
Ensure correct administrative processes are put in place for management of these Sub-Contracts paying attention to change controls, early warning, compensation events, changes to scope of works and payment.
Support the Project Manager in resolving commercial issues with the Client and implement strategies to avoid litigation/claims.
Proactively support the Business Project Review Process.
Contribute to the management and maintenance of a contract cost reporting system, ensuring all financial information is managed and up to date and tracked with budget/tender allowances, commitments & deviations highlighted and managed;.
Manage subcontracts from initial placement of order to final account including close liaison with procurement, planning and delivery teams to ensure that the order meets project requirements.

Project Manager – Modular Construction, Salary: Up to £65k + car allowance & Benefits, Based out of Leeds with National travel. This is a site based position which will require working away during the working week when required at sites across the UK.
We require an experienced Project Manager to work for a Design & Build Modular Contractor. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Project Manager from a reputable modular, specialist or construction contractor background, with experience of managing major projects with a contract value of £20-28m. Experience of school construction projects would be highly advantageous but not essential.

The Major Projects division construct permanent buildings using Manufactured Offsite Modular construction techniques along with traditional steel frames to provide both Modular and hybrid building solutions that offer unrivalled flexibility for customers. The role initially is to support the current frameworks with the Department of Education (DfE) building Secondary, Primary and SEN Schools throughout the UK.
As a site based Project Manager you will be fully responsible for the successful operational delivery of Projects on site ensuring safety, product quality, are completed within the contracted timescales, safely and within financial controls.
This role is site based and you will lead a team made up of a Senior Site Manager, Apprentice Site Manager, Visiting QS, Planner and Engineer
The day to day management of a large construction site and all relevant activities that take place on that site. This is a key role that carries a lot of responsibility not only in managing a site team and sub-contractors but being the face of the company at all times, protecting its integrity and reputation
Candidate requirements:
