You will have the opportunity to work on prestigious construction projects in the UK and potentially overseas including staying away . More specifically: Erect steelwork. Operate site plant and equipment. Fit prefabricated sheet metal (flashings and trims) and structural decking. Install roof, vertical and horizontal cladding systems. Ensure that all work carried out is done safely in accordance with the Company s policies and appropriate Method Statements/Risk Assessments. Understand drawings and follow safe working practices in the preassembly and erection of structural steelwork at low and high levels. Sling loads, signal and work with cranes. Carry out crane supervisor duties in accordance with training. Working at height and operating high level access equipment e.g. Mobile Operating Platforms (MEWP s) You will have To be successful as a Steel Erector/Steel Fitter A full UK driving licence. A valid CSCS Steel Erector and / or Cladder card (from NVQ assessment). A valid CPCS Slinger / signaller card. A valid CPCS Plant Operator card or IPAF for MEWPS Operator card. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility of the erection stage of each project, ensuring it is ran efficiently and effectively. Applicants must have experience managing the erection of 500+ tonne steel structures. Erection Manager key roles and responsibilities: - Prepare for successful delivery of the assigned project - Plan, monitor and manage execution of construction activities to ensure safe, on time, in budget, high quality completion - Review and monitor timely reporting of construction progress and maintain detailed records - Drive and manage internal and external relationships for effective and efficient achievement of project goals - Provide leadership, ongoing guidance and support to motivate the site team - Prioritise Health and Safety - Create and maintain positive working relationships with clients The successful candidate will have the opportunity to run multi million pound steelwork contracts across the UK. We are currently recruiting for a Safety at Height site supervisor to join their existing team. Job role: Working as part of a 2-man (minimum) site based installation team, you will install permanent access equipment, such as; Latchways fall restraint and arrest systems, access ladders, gantries and platforms, fixed and freestanding handrail systems, aluminium & mild steel walkway systems and suspended access equipment, including abseil anchors and rail. To fulfil this role, you will need to have construction site experience in one or more of the following areas architectural metalwork, roofing, steel erection or M&E. Responsibilities & Duties: You will manage a small team and work together to follow site specific job requirements to install equipment safety in accordance with site specific risk assessments and method statements both accurately and efficiently. You will work on your own initiative to overcome problems encountered and establish and follow efficient working practices on site. Reading drawings to set out and undertake works in accordance with approved site drawings. Qualifications & Skills - Essential: Over 3 Years’ experience within the industry (Fall Protection, Construction, M&E, Roofing, Steelwork, etc.) and/or experience in site supervision. Full clean driving license & comfortable driving range of vehicles up to 3.5T gross vehicle weight. CSCS and SSSTS Self-motivated individual, able to work on own initiative, excellent time keeping.
