We're looking for a commercially astute professional to join a major defence programme in Glasgow, playing a key role in managing commercial activities across a large, technically challenging project. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment where your expertise will directly influence project performance, contract delivery, and commercial outcomes. The Role As Commercial Manager, you'll provide commercial leadership throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring robust contract administration, effective risk management, and successful delivery against programme objectives. You'll work closely with project teams, supply chain partners and key stakeholders to maximise commercial value while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations. Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial management of major engineering and infrastructure contracts. Administer NEC4 contracts, with a particular focus on NEC4 Professional Services Contract (PSC) . Manage compensation events, change control and contractual correspondence. Provide commercial advice to project teams and senior stakeholders. Monitor costs, forecasts and commercial performance. Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities. Support negotiations with clients, subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure commercial governance and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Commercial Manager on major infrastructure, defence, nuclear or other highly regulated projects. Extensive working knowledge of NEC4 contracts , ideally including the Professional Services Contract (PSC) . Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Experience managing change, risk and contract administration. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams. Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Contract Details Location: Glasgow Hybrid Working: Minimum 3 days per week on site (increasing to 5 days when project requirements dictate) Duration: 52 weeks Rate: 70.00- 87.00 per hour Umbrella (PAYE equivalent available) IR35: Inside IR35 Security Requirements Due to the nature of this programme: Current SC Clearance is required, or you must be eligible to obtain it.
