Our client are looking to appoint an experienced external wall Surveying, Fire engineer. This is an opportunity to join our experienced consultancy fire engineering and surveying consultancy team. The position is full time with allowance for current, relevant studies with immediate start. Salary is dependent on experience as negotiable, based on accreditation, qualifications and experience. The applicant should hold 3 or more of the following: • Degree level qualification in fire engineering, building survey, Building/Civil Engineering • Minimum 5 years relative experience in a consultancy or similar environment • Be aware of appropriate legislation including Part B and design guidance for use in the UK. • Worked on high-risk buildings with an awareness of the full life cycle of fire safety; from design through to handover. • Be aware of the RIBA stages of work 2020, HSE Gateway, Building Safety Acts 2022, PAS 9980 and EWS1 assessment The applicant should also have following skills & Experience: • Have experience in report writing and engaging across various parties; including colleagues and clients. • The right candidate will have worked in leadership roles or been a senior member within their experience. • You will have positive communication skills, be collaborative, and be creative and engaging with an ability to multitask projects concurrently, providing deliverables as per your Job. The applicant should have a willing, positive attitude to learning, where applicable, and have the ability to negotiate discussions with contractors in site-based fire engineering studies. The ability to work well as part of a team is also important. Knowledge of EWS1 surveys and processes will be advantageous but not essential, as training will be offered. The candidate should also hold a driving licence.
