My client are a major projects contractor conducting projects in excess of £100million, now require a Senior Quantity Surveyor, initially to work in pre-construction due to their PSCA pipeline of work. Even though my client have an estimating and work winning division, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be heavily involved in procuring major packages of work and either taking the said project out to site, or remain within the pre-construction team and keep adding value to their pipeline of work. Duties and responsibilities include: Timely identification, valuation and agreement of variations to the sub-contract Management and monitoring of divisional company cash flow Preparation and presentation of cost value reconciliation reports to board of directors Management of subcontractors and key suppliers, including issuing of enquiry documents, negotiating/awarding orders and management of their accounts Producing monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports, the narrative would include key issues within the various cost heads and identify risks, losses and potential gains Ensuring strong relationships is developed and maintained throughout the project life cycle Contribute to managing on site programme targets and monitor and report on project progress and recommended changes If you believe value can be added to a project not just at the end but at the start of the programme, then look no further.
