We're looking for a Principal ICT Engineer to join the UK Building Technology Systems team with a significant background in IT Network Design. You will be designing IT networks within buildings, alongside multiple design disciplines, implementing leading edge network designs and technologies into real world applications. You will liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand, develop, and interpret their requirements from concept stage through to detailed design, on multi-disciplinary design projects in coordination with Architects, Engineers, and specialist consultants Collaborate across WSP with specialists in areas like MEP, Smart, AV to develop holistic and comprehensive solutions. What we will be looking for you to demonstrate A passion for the future of technology in the built environment. Experience in ICT design and project delivery of medium to large building projects Ability to produce detailed design and performance specification, subject to review by colleagues prior to issue. Ability to carry out feasibility studies for review by colleagues prior to issue. Experience in producing detailed equipment schedules for issue with the discipline specific designs. Experience providing design and technical advice on projects lead by seniors or take a discipline lead role on smaller projects. Ability to create and interpret technical documents including reports, diagrams, drawings and specifications. Ability to work independently using their own initiative with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of their discipline or have specific specialist experience applicable to the role. Ability to work under the clear direction of others and interpret the needs of a project where applicable to the discipline. Be able to effectively communicate complex technical information and non-technical information to clients both inside and outside the business.
