Building Safety Programme Manager Location: North London Contract: 6+ months ongoing Fox Morris Group are working with a North London Local Authority to appoint an experienced Building Safety Programme Manager on a long-term contract basis. Please note: This is NOT a Building Safety Manager role. We are specifically looking for someone with experience delivering complex building and fire safety projects/programmes within Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs), with particular emphasis on regulatory compliance and successfully navigating the Building Safety Regulator Gateway process. The Role As Building Safety Programme Manager, you will lead the delivery of a programme of building and fire safety improvement works across a portfolio of Higher-Risk Buildings. You will manage projects throughout the full lifecycle, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of building and fire safety capital works across Higher-Risk Buildings. Manage projects through design, procurement, construction and completion. Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and relevant building, fire and health & safety legislation. Manage projects requiring engagement with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR). Oversee Gateway submissions and approvals where applicable. Ensure compliance with HRB requirements around design control, construction control and significant change control. Manage consultants, Principal Designers, Principal Contractors and specialist advisors. Monitor budgets, programme risks, quality, timescales and contractor performance. Produce reports and programme updates for senior management and governance boards. Work collaboratively across compliance, asset management, housing and finance teams. Drive continuous improvement and best practice in building safety project delivery. Essential Experience Significant experience delivering major construction, remediation, fire safety or compliance projects. Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and regulatory framework for Higher-Risk Buildings. Experience managing projects subject to the Building Safety Regulator's Gateway regime. Strong understanding of HRB design, construction and change-control requirements. Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants, contractors and external stakeholders. Knowledge of procurement, contract administration and project governance. Strong financial, reporting and risk-management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
