Your role at a glance NTT GDC is currenlty recruiting for a Senior Estimator, Global Fit Out Projects who will be responsible for building and managing the Tenant Fitout Programme. What will you do Develop internal estimating platform to ensure high quality budgets are developed. Early focus will be on creating standards to develop conceptual estimates for new project business cases when very little design information is available. This will then lead to value engineering estimates to enable good design related decisions. The individual will also oversee traditional project estimates based on Schematic Design or Detailed Design information. Coordination with multiple stakeholders including; Sales, Product, Design, Construction Execution and Project Controls Implement standardized estimating processes, procedures, and tools across projects to ensure consistency and accuracy. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects for project funding or specific should cost estimates. Ensure estimates are comprehensive, covering all aspects of construction, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and owner costs. Engage consultants where necessary. Validate and review consultant led cost estimates to ensure they meet project goals, budget constraints, and industry standards. Develop, maintain, and use internal and external benchmarks to help plan for project execution. Provide input on project feasibility studies, risk assessments, and value engineering efforts to optimize costs and maximize project value. Monitor market trends, pricing, and economic factors that may impact project costs, and adjust estimates accordingly. Ensure quality and accuracy of cost estimates submitting for project planning. Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in estimating practices. Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends to enhance the company s estimating capabilities. What we are looking for Must have an expert knowledge of data hall fitout, including differing customer needs, market norms, technologies(Liguid v Air cooling) and challenges. Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to develop accurate and detailed cost estimates. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior executives and stakeholders. Must possess a clear understanding of the full construction life cycle Proven capability to perform all forms and types of estimates from parametric to bottoms up and high level what-if scenarios. Possess and demonstrate a full range of understanding and appreciation for the estimating process and how it ties to the overall organizational goals. Possess multidiscipline experience and understand and be able to estimate all facets of a data center construction project. Ability to clearly set and lead meetings to review and discuss estimates or estimating activities. Ability to handle highly confidential matters. Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Estimating software and Outlook. Ability to work in a team environment. Manages stress and/or fast paced environments effectively. Excellent creative thinking, written and verbal communication skills. Senior Estimator - Construction Main Contractor Refurbishment, Heritage and BSR Projects Permanent: Up to £100,000 + Package Based: North West London We are currently searching for a Senior Estimator to join a very well established , multifaceted Main Contractor in London. This company have built a solid reputation spanning over 45 years and a vast portfolio of schemes including Cladding & Fire Remediation works, Commercial Refurbishment & Fitout, Listed Building Restoration and Residential Development. As Senior Estimator you will align with the senior leadership team, securing new tenders and winning work. This role is reportable to the Managing Director. The Role: Leading the preparation of detailed cost plans, tender submissions and risk assessments across a range of construction projects Developing robust commercial strategies, identifying value engineering opportunities and managing project risk from pre-construction stage Engaging and negotiating with specialist subcontractors and supply chain partners to obtain competitive and compliant tender returns Analysing drawings, specifications and employer's requirements to ensure accurate pricing and risk identification Contributing to bid strategy and win themes, supporting programme development and delivery planning Advising senior management on cost, risk and procurement routes to enhance project viability and competitiveness Reviewing and challenging design proposals to improve buildability, efficiency and cost certainty Supporting post-tender clarifications, client interviews and handover to the delivery team to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to site Experience Required: 5+ years working as an Estimator in a main contractor/subcontractor specialising in one of the above niches Advanced knowledge of Building Safety Regulations Experience in the above mentioned sectors is essential but applicants don't need to have worked in all of them. Senior QS/Estimator - Bromley-based main contractor - refurb bias - £competitive Your new company A long-established traditional main contractor working across the refurbishment, fitout and commercial new build sectors, working mainly in Central London for some of the largest property management and private estates. Works are typically valued in the 500k - £3mill range and secured via negotiated tender or from small exclusive frameworks. Following a very successful year and as part of a planned expansion, they now seek an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the stable office-based team. Your new role As Senior QS, you will be involved in the process from estimating through to delivery and handover. Responsible for pricing & surveying your own schemes once the project is awarded, being a point of contact for the client from initial enquiry through to contract award, delivery to final account. You will oversee 2 to 3 projects and responsible for all commercial activity including contract analysis, subcontract procurement, client liaison, Monthly cvr's, payments, variations and generally ensuring the company's commercial interests. With the majority of work being for long-standing clients, customer service and maintaining relationships is a key element of the role with regular visits to sites and to meet clients. Senior Estimator - Commercial Fitout We have been asked by a leading construction company to find a Senior Estimator to add immediate support to their Estimating team on a freelance basis for a minimum period of 3 months, but it is expected to be an ongoing contract. You will work in their office in the City of London near to Liverpool Street station and will tender for projects in a variety of sectors as commercial fitout for both CAT A and CAT B projects, healthcare and cutting edge science facilities. Their project values range from £2m-£30m and consist of negotiated, single stage and two-stage tendering. A solid main contracting and specifically fitout background working on similar projects for a recognised company is expected for this Senior Estimator role. You will as a Senior Estimator interface with the existing bid team consisting of Planners, Design Managers and other Estimators to produce high quality tenders.
