A growing and ambitious house builder based in North Leeds is looking to appoint a Junior Architectural Technologist who is keen to build their career within the residential development sector. Having partnered with us on their journey to becoming the house builder of choice across Yorkshire, this is an exciting time to join the business as it embarks on a period of sustained growth. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to break into house building and gain hands-on experience within a supportive Technical team. The Role Working closely with the Technical Director and wider Technical team, you will support the coordination and management of technical information across a range of residential developments. This is a varied and development-focused role, ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who is eager to expand their knowledge of house types, construction detailing, and regulatory compliance within a live development environment. You will assist in managing technical documentation from planning stage through to site completion, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with regulatory and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Assist in coordinating technical aspects of residential projects from planning through to site completion Support the management and updating of house type drawings and technical information Review architectural and engineering drawings for accuracy and compliance with Building Regulations and NHBC requirements Help respond to technical queries from internal departments, site teams and external consultants Liaise with architects, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure information is accurate and up to date Assist with submissions for approvals including Building Control and NHBC Maintain organised and accurate project documentation (including drawing registers and revisions) Support site teams by helping resolve technical issues that arise during construction Contribute to quality control processes and ensure technical standards are maintained About You We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is keen to establish a long-term career within house building. You will ideally have: 1 3 years experience within an architectural practice or related technical role (house building experience advantageous but not essential) An Architectural Technician / Technologist background HNC, HND or Degree qualification in Architectural Technology (or similar) Good understanding of technical drawings and construction detailing Working knowledge of Building Regulations Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail Good communication skills and confidence in liaising with different teams Experience using AutoCAD (knowledge of COINS or similar systems beneficial but not essential) Full UK driving licence Most importantly, you will be enthusiastic about developing your career within the residential development sector and eager to learn from an experienced Technical team.
