This role plays a crucial part in delivering the Group Business Plan, meeting commercial objectives and budgets, and supporting future growth by overseeing all commercial activities relating to development and build-related expenditure. Ensuring the commercial team supports key operational requirements including land acquisition budgets, subcontractor tendering and management, payments, CVRs, cost-to-complete reviews, procurement, controls and reporting. Taking responsibility for the Quantity Surveying function for at least one key active development, including subcontract procurement, site meeting attendance and CVR production. Solid understanding of commercial and financial management systems and controls. Awareness of relevant regulations and codes of practice (Building Regulations, NHBC, HSE, CDM). Highly analytical, able to interpret data and identify trends and improvement opportunities. Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work collaboratively with senior colleagues and wider regional and group teams.
