Job Purpose We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team to take a lead role in managing costs for our responsive repairs, cyclical decorations and lifecycle repairs contract in Brockley. You will be working to ensure a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials and services is achieved. Repairs span the full spectrum of trades and include electrical repairs, carpentry, plumbing and much more. As Quantity Surveyor your key responsibilities will include: Control of expenditure Timely Purchasing and negotiating Sub Contract, Material and Plant orders Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts Ensure Subcontractors and Suppliers are approved and meet company standards prior to procurement Ensuring value for money and financial assessments Manage day to day cost control & monitoring and reporting Process Subcontractor requests for payment via application & invoice This is a full time permanent position, working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Experience Required The ideal candidate will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with demonstrable experience gained ideally within a housing maintenance environment (reactive/responsive repairs, cyclical decorations and/or lifecycle repairs). Candidates with experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the Refurbishment of social housing stock will also be considered. You will also have NHF schedule of rates experience and knowledge of property services contracts for local authorities. If you have this experience then we would strongly encourage you to apply.
