Astute's Contract team is partnering with a Solar EPC to recruit a Solar Site Manager on a 3 month contract for it's Scotland site. The Site Manager role comes with a day rate of up to 420 per day, Outside IR35. The key skills required for the Site Manager role: At least 5 years experience of working as a Site Manager on utility scale Solar farm projects Excellent understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations Strong background in Health & Safety Qualifications required: SMSTS First Aid Fire Marshal This role requires an ASAP start date so unfortunately, contractors with notice periods will not be considered. SHEQ Manager- Central Belt The Role To lead and continually improve Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality management systems across a diverse portfolio of construction, building and civil engineering projects throughout Scotland. This is a senior management opportunity for a proactive individual with strong construction industry experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to positively influence teams, subcontractors and clients across all levels of the business. Based in the central belt with regular travel to sites across Scotland. Responsibilities Site SHEQ inspections across multiple projects. Maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 systems. Supporting certification and surveillance audits. Leading accident, incident and near-miss investigations. Managing occupational health and training records. Producing SHEQ documentation including CPPs and Fire Plans. Supporting tenders, PQQs and client compliance requirements. Promoting a positive SHEQ culture throughout the business. Ensuring all training is valid and up to date. Requirements Essential Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH). Previous SHEQ management experience within construction. Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM Regulations 2015. Experience with audits, inspections and incident investigations. Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. Internal ISO Auditor qualification. Experience maintaining SSIP and trade body accreditations. Experience working with principal contractors and major clients. Renumeration Salary- 50-60K. You will be expected to coordinate site activities, ensure adherence to H&S protocols and ensure that all installations meet project design specifications. Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the project, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Manage site teams, including subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Enforce site safety protocols, conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Develop, monitor and maintain project schedules, addressing delays or disruptions to keep projects on track. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their queries, providing progress updates and ensuring satisfaction with project delivery. Coordinate labour, materials and equipment effectively to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime. Ensure all work meets or exceeds company and industry standards through regular inspections and snagging processes. Manage project completion, ensuring a smooth handover process and addressing any post-handover issues.
