Temporary Works Manager Location: Lot 3 Track north - Birmingham The Project HS2 has appointed Ferrovial Construction / BAM Nuttall JV (FBJV) for contracts totaling almost 140 miles of track between London and the West Midlands. Ferrovial BAM will oversee the design and construction of the HS2 track infrastructure, manage construction logistics and support the testing and commissioning phase. The Role We are seeking a Temporary Works Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project in Birmingham during its initial design phase, running alongside the completion of the main works contracts, which is currently at their busiest stage. Works include but are not limited to a large Infrastructure and temporary railheads. This is a client-side opportunity for someone with a background in construction, engineering or architecture who wants to develop their career in project management. You will support the programme through design, procurement, construction and operational handover. Key Responsibilities Assist with managing a multidisciplinary design team appointed under an NEC4 Professional Service Contract. Support the procurement and management of the Engineering and Construction Contract main contractor. Working for the client as the project representative, ensuring the designs are delivered correctly on site. Track design deliverables, consultant performance, programme milestones and project risks. Coordinate information between consultants, contractors, internal stakeholders and third parties. Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, dashboards and governance reports. Support design reviews, technical assurance and stakeholder workshops. Monitor construction progress and help minimise disruption to ongoing operations. Essential Experience Degree in construction, engineering, architecture or a related discipline. Experience coordinating consultants, contractors or technical disciplines in a site environment. Experience delivering projects on a live operational site. Experience within transport infrastructure would be particularly advantageous.
