Managing consultant specialists and SMEs to deliver robust construction assurance across all wastewater projects in your portfolio.
Collaborating closely with Asset Management, Engineering, and Operations to align solutions, share lessons learned, and ensure consistent design and delivery outcomes.
Supporting contractor and consultant assessment, selection, and appointment processes.
Leading the Operational Integration team to ensure project deliverables are clearly defined, achievable, and fully agreed upon by all stakeholders.
Verifying and approving key project documentation, including Project Delivery Plans, Commissioning Plans, and test plans.
You’ll be based at an office within the East London catchment, primarily supporting Beckton and Crossness STW , with travel expected across the wider Thames Water region.
This role requires 4 days per week on-site , depending on project demands.
36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
This role includes a £5,800 annual car allowance .
What you should bring to the role
An engineering degree or equivalent experience in a similar construction or engineering position.
Strong technical understanding of wastewater treatment works design, construction, and operations—or substantial experience in another complex process environment.
The capability to undertake detailed technical reviews of project information.
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
Knowledge of performance and quality management principles.

The Role:
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking to recruit a Mechanical and/or Electrical Estimator/Proposals Engineer, to be based at our Head Office in Southampton. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, together with the preparation of the necessary technical and commercial submission documentation for a wide variety of M&E Engineering projects across the UK and overseas. Applicants should have a background in estimating M&E projects as well as ideally having a mechanical or electrical engineering background, with a working knowledge of the related electrical and ICA elements.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Report to the Estimating and Bid Manager, programme and manage own workload within the MEICA estimating team
* Prepare multi-discipline proposals for the Process & Water, Energy, Defence, Oil & Gas and Nuclear sectors
* Comply fully with the documented company tendering procedures
* Read and fully understand client specifications and drawings
* Understand documentation required for formal submissions
* Ascertain preliminary and detailed project requirements and solutions, including programmes and value engineering solutions

* Prepare material, labour, plant and subcontractor cost analysis spreadsheets
* Prepare preliminary tender programmes

* Present the cost estimate in full detail to management for review and final approval. Responsible, with senior management, for the identification, evaluation and ranking of risks as well as developing a strategy to manage and mitigate the risks to the company as the basis for estimating an appropriate contingency allowance for inclusion in the cost estimate.

We are now recruiting for a Customer Manager to join our Southern Water delivery team based on site in Havant, to assist in the delivery of a business-critical service to ensure that customers’ expectations are exceeded. They will manage all additional contacts, proactively monitor customer commitments and appointments, and ensure all confirmed work orders are analysed to verify correct completion.
Key Responsibilities:
·Management of additional contacts and manager ring backs to ensure delivery of business targets
·Liaise with customers to identify and discuss reason for additional contact
·Gain an understanding of manager ring back reason from previous job history and customers contact to resolve customers query
·Take ownership and manage customers’ expectations
·Manage the local landowners where we are taking the land for the project

Due to growth, we are currently recruiting for a number of Project Engineers to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the Southern Water Framework, based around the South East. You will be reporting to a Project Manager and will be responsible for supporting all technical and commercial aspects of Electrical, Mechanical and Civil installations on site. Candidates ideally will be qualified in either Mechanical, Electrical, Process or Civil Engineering but should have a good appreciation of all professions.
Role & Responsibilities
* Attend internal and external design review and progress meetings.
* Produce and review electrical & mechanical design documentation.
* Produce specifications and outline designs.
* Procurement of Electrical & Mechanical Equipment and support for subcontract procurement.
* Ensure that site installation works and quality match both design and appropriate industry standards.
* Record and Review as-built information.
* Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
* Programme Updates.
* Procurement schedules.
Qualification/Competency
* Degree or HND/HNC in either Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Chemical/Process Engineering.
* Water Engineering background preferred but not essential.
* Good working Knowledge of Safety, Health Environment and Quality Procedures.
* Microsoft Office and CAD packages.
* Good appreciation of Excel to a ‘Higher’ level.
