Your new company is a strong design consultancy based just outside of Manchester City Centre. Associate / Principal Civil Engineer wanted for a growing engineering consultancy.
Your new company
Your new company is a strong design consultancy based just outside of Manchester City Centre. They have a number of offices across the UK with a really broad range of work, working on commercial, education, retail, residential and industrial projects. Overall the company have a medium sized feel, regularly winning work similar to larger consultancies, with a more open and relaxed working environment. They are keen to expand and are looking to bring in a Principal / Associate Civil Engineer to lead there civil engineering business.
Your new role
In your new role you will work alongside principal engineers and directors delivering a range of highways and drainage projects. You will lead a team of engineers/technician and work alongside structural engineers to deliver projects on time and on budget. You will be heavily involved with design work, but also act as a project manager on all live projects. As well as managing a team, it will also be your responsibility to win new business and contribute fees to of the overall business.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to come from a strong civil engineering background, having worked on a range of highways / drainage projects. You must have experience running projects and also have useful contacts in the industry. This role is an expansion of their current team, so you must be able to deliver some form of business development.

This consultancy are a dynamic, forward thinking business we big plans ahead. They operate across a number of disciplines providing and range of traffic, transport. highways and structural services. You will sit within the bridge design team.
Your new role
Reporting into an experienced Associate Director and Principal Engineer, you will work alongside a team of engineers delivery a range of design schemes. You will work a range of design projects, including preliminary and detailed design assessment. You will use a range of software for design work and also work on complex engineering calculations.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you need to have masters degree in either structural or civil engineering, along with a desire to progress within bridge engineering. You will need to be confident with calculations and come from a strong mathematics background. You will also need experience working with a range of software through your degree.
