Straight-line are seeking experienced Pipe Welders to join our valued client in the Dudley area. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing high-quality pipe welding, within pipe systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a factory environment, largescale pipe work. Duties Execute welding operations using MIG, TIG, and other relevant techniques on piping systems in accordance with schematics and technical drawings. Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure precise fabrication. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised welding equipment to assemble and install piping components. Perform soldering, cutting, grinding, and fitting tasks as required for pipe assembly and repair. Conduct inspections of welds for quality assurance, adhering to industry standards. Assist with maintenance tasks related to piping infrastructure, including troubleshooting and repairs. Follow safety protocols at all times during welding and construction activities. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored. Requirements Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding techniques. Strong understanding of schematics, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Mechanical knowledge related to pipe fitting, plumbing, and construction processes. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and general maintenance tools. Ability to read basic maths for measurements and calculations during fabrication. Experience in assembly work within construction or industrial environments. Knowledge of safety standards relevant to welding and construction sites. Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces. Valid certification or qualification in welding is preferred.
