Maintenance operatives needed in Plymouth & Cornwall areas. £15 - £19 depending on qualifications & experience

Your new role
We have several Maintenance trades vacancies to fill around Plymouth and east Cornwall. The jobs range from building maintenance to social housing/property maintenance. All of our clients are well established with either 500+ units in the building maintenance side, or have a stock of 7000 + on the housing side.
Depending on your qualifications you may or may not be working with Electrical equipment or Plumbing. You will be needed to carry out remedial works in different environments. Our clients provide reactive, planned, void property, adaptations and M&E services. So you will need to be experienced in at least one of these areas. Basic Tiling, Plastering, Carpentry will be required at some point on most jobs.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for NVQ level 2 and above multi trades, ideally from a Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical or wet trades back ground. It is essential that you are versatile as duties may vary day to day. You must be polite and present yourself well as some of our clients provide a public facing service to occupied properties, and in many cases you may be wearing company attire. A drivers licence and your own transport is essential for all of our vacancies. There will be van supply with some of our jobs.

4 year minimum apprenticeship/qualification period, 17th edition and it would be beneficial to have your test and inspect. You will need to be able to pass an enhanced vetting procedure to be considered for this role
What you'll get in return
You will be paid £15.59 - £17.09 per hour, plus any overtime rates. This will be paid on a weekly basis. There is a chance you could be offered a permanent position if you impress the site managers. Any weekend work is paid on a higher rat, which is 1.25x for your Saturday and 1.33x for your Sunday. If being on call is needed, it's £115 for the week.
