They will be delivering circa £5 million PA and will consist of fire protection projects such as fire door installation and fire stopping works The Role; Within this role, you will work along side a commercial manager ensuring P&L, budgets and deadlines are met. You would be responsible for ensuring the level of service and quality is to the highest standard as well as cost control, creating CPP & programming of works and budgeting. Implement strong H&S Your direct team will include management, supervisors, operatives & office staff. You will report directly in to the divisional director who will support you in making the contracts a success. The Candidate; The ideal candidate will have extensive building knowledge and experience managing passive fire protection contracts. An established UK passive fire protection contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Contracts Manager following the award of a significant new contract and the launch of a newly created Facilities Management division. This is a senior operational leadership position responsible for leading and developing a Contracts Management team, overseeing the successful delivery and commercial performance of passive fire contracts and supporting the continued growth of the division. The position will be based from the company's southern regional office in Essex, overseeing projects on a nationwide basis. Responsibilities Lead, manage and develop a team of Contracts Managers Take ownership of operational activity and performance across the assigned team Oversee contracts throughout the full lifecycle, from initial enquiry through mobilisation, delivery, invoicing and certification Ensure new contracts are correctly scoped, planned, budgeted and mobilised Oversee programme, resource and commercial performance across multiple contracts Ensure projects have appropriately trained operational teams and quality suppliers/subcontractors Monitor commercial progress against agreed budgets and margin expectations Ensure site and operational issues are identified and resolved effectively Drive high standards of health & safety, quality and passive fire compliance Maintain and develop key client relationships Hold regular team meetings and one-to-ones, supporting individual performance and development Develop the capability and capacity of the Contracts Management team Support the strategic growth and development of the division Deliver wider company strategic objectives The requirements of the Senior Contracts Manager places particular emphasis on ownership across the assigned team, managing Contracts Managers, key account management, team development and divisional growth.
