The Programme Planning Manager (Sustainability) will play a key role in Gatwick's future, supporting the Programme Manager in delivering the strategic aims and objectives of the business through the development, implementation and delivery of effective planning and assurance processes across a programme of projects. Key projects include replacing boilers with all-electric, non-fossil fuel plants; transitioning to refrigerants with lower global warming potential; upgrading our electric vehicles infrastructure and upgrading our water treatment processes. Your role will be crucial in helping Gatwick achieve its sustainability goal of reducing emissions by 2030. This is an excellent opportunity to directly observe and influence Gatwick's journey to Net Zero. As part of a multi-disciplinary team of construction industry experts, you will be involved from the early stages of projects, defining technical scopes, aligning project delivery with business requirements, and ensuring these are carried through from design to construction and handover. What is the role? Reporting to the Lead Planning Manager, you'll take a key role in leading the planning of projects across all stages of their lifecycle, from concept approval to delivery and closeout. Your mission is to make sure performance targets are not just met but surpassed consistently and on time. Other duties include: Creating and maintaining schedules for the entire project journey, including internal and external interfaces. This will include managing the control programmes from project concept to closeout, managing contract program evaluations, assessing compensation events, conducting delay analysis and helping to drive schedule improvements through to our supply chain. Playing a major role in leading and managing planning teams for the programme. You'll expertly apply your knowledge and skills across multiple projects, to help us achieve our strategic goals. Helping the planning team grow by contributing to the development of standards, managing, motivating, coaching and mentoring team members. You'll be excited about helping talented individuals reach their potential. Reviewing the Programme, assisting in trend and change processes, reporting, risk management and finding ways to be more efficient that might positively affect programme outcomes and your teams' performance. In addition, this role requires: Previous experience as a Planning Lead or Senior Planner with commercial or infrastructure projects with substantial MEP processes on multi-year programmes, working on projects/programmes typically more than 50 million. Previous experience leading small teams. Extensive experience of Primavera P6 and related commercial acumen. Demonstrable experience in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders to explain complex or abstract ideas straightforwardly. Project Controls Manager Department: Project Controls/ Performance Reports to: Head of Project Controls Key relationships Commercial, Planners, Delivery team, Client, Project Controls and Supply Chain. About Q6, Heathrow Airport Our Q6 framework spans from airfield works (taxiways, runways, stands), to civils (roads, demolition works, underground and above ground structures), and MEP packages (services tunnels, lifts, life safety systems, fuel/fire mains). Key responsibilities * Responsible for a portfolio of Projects for the purpose of project performance analysis / reporting and cost / programme integration according to the Contract requirements / works information * Responsible for development of the project baseline across scope, time, cost, risk, schedule updates, forecast to complete, variance identification, opportunities for improvement and earned value management of the programme. * Comprehensive understanding of Primavera P6 and produce cost loading programme. * Coordination point with all parties involved in the month end progress process/ project controls management. * Reporting and Dashboard production using Power BI. * Expert Planning and scheduling knowledge. * Prepare and assess cost forecasts. * Work with relevant people (commercials, section leads and site agents) to verify their costs to complete. Key Skills and qualifications * Experience in project controls. * Previous experience of cost management systems within a major civil engineering project. * Previous knowledge of construction scheduling using Primavera P6. * Previous experience using Power BI is preferable. * Strong knowledge on how to measure civil engineering works. * Good understanding of NEC3 contracts. * Good IT skills and adaptability. * Sound interpersonal skills and ability to interact collaboratively with the supply chain, colleagues and Client. * Ability to manage a small team and deliver timely high-quality reports. * Excel – high level of capability. P6 Project Planner £50000-£65000 DOE & Benefits This M&E Design & build contractor deliver major infrastructure projects . Their core markets are Rail, London Underground, Airports, Highways and Power stations. They are now looking to enhance their Project Team working on Crossrail with a P6 Project Planner. With a Construction or Engineering related qualification ( must have) as a P6 Project Planner you will be Planning the delivery of a number of Electrical and Mechanical packages within this fast paced, ever changing project environment.
