We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to support delivery across our social housing programmes in Southampton and the surrounding areas. The Mechanical Site Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing the installation of heating systems across occupied and void social housing properties. This includes radiator replacements, heating pipework alterations, Heat Interface Unit (HIU) installations and associated electrical rewire activities. Working closely with an Electrical Supervisor and Resident Liaison Officer (RLO), you will oversee site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification and with minimal disruption to residents. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent stakeholder management and the ability to maintain high standards of quality, compliance and customer service. What You ll Do As a Mechanical Site Manager, your responsibilities will include: Managing day-to-day site activities across multiple occupied and void properties. Supervising mechanical and electrical operatives, subcontractors and specialist teams. Planning and coordinating radiator replacements, heating pipework alterations, HIU installations and associated electrical works. Monitoring progress against programme and addressing risks or delays. Ensuring all works comply with mechanical design specifications, manufacturer requirements and relevant Building Regulations. Conducting quality inspections and approving commissioning documentation and certification. Enforcing Health & Safety standards, including RAMS briefings, toolbox talks and site safety inspections. Working closely with Resident Liaison Officers to coordinate property access and minimise disruption to tenants. Attending client meetings and providing clear updates on site progress and performance. Maintaining accurate documentation including site diaries, installation records and commissioning documentation. About You To succeed as a Mechanical Site Manager, you will demonstrate: Proven experience managing mechanical installation works within social housing environments. SSSTS or SMSTS certification. Strong knowledge of radiator systems, HIUs, heating pipework and domestic plumbing systems. Experience overseeing electrical rewires at supervisory level. Experience working in occupied properties with strong awareness of resident care and safeguarding. Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications. Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills. Good IT literacy, including digital job management systems and reporting tools. Desirable Mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent). Experience installing or commissioning HIU systems. Asbestos Awareness certification. First Aid at Work. Experience working on energy efficiency or district heating programmes. We re looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join our Reactive Maintenance (R&M) team, supporting the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and commercially robust repairs services for residents. This is a desktop-based role suited to an experienced repairs professional who enjoys driving standards, accuracy, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced operational environment. Reporting to the Operations Manager and Contracts Manager, the Quality Assurance Officer provides quality assurance, commercial validation, and compliance oversight across reactive maintenance works. Working closely with planners, supervisors, operatives, subcontractors, and client teams, the role ensures works are accurately coded, fully evidenced, audit-ready, and delivered to the required quality and safety standards, while supporting productivity and value for money. Key Responsibilities Complete desktop quality checks on work orders, validating SOR coding, evidence, compliance, and completion standards. Carry out post-inspection checks and track follow-on actions to closure. Support operational delivery through diary, booking, and task review to improve efficiency. Provide technical and procedural support to operational teams, complaints teams, and client contacts. Review, validate, and challenge SOR claims and variations for direct labour and subcontractors. Monitor subcontractor performance, including variations, materials usage, and cost agreement. Maintain accurate, controlled, and audit-ready compliance documentation. About You: To be successful in this Quality Assurance Officer role, you will require: Essential: Experience delivering or supporting reactive repairs within social housing. Practical knowledge of quality assurance, SOR coding, variations, and commercial validation. Working understanding of compliance requirements, including asbestos, health & safety, audit standards, and subcontractor governance. Strong technical and legislative knowledge relevant to housing repairs and maintenance. High attention to detail with the ability to review, challenge, and validate work orders and claims. Senior Quantity Surveyor / Main Contractor / Residential / Commercial Overview We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for the successful running and delivery of a variety of projects, from Refurbishments, disabled adaptations, Block upgrades, new-build and the overall management of the projects including QS/Cost Control. Reporting to the Commercial / Finance Director, the role will require the successful candidate to oversee the commercial and contracts delivery of multiple projects. Key Responsibilities: * Manage multiple sites and ensure the work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality by effectively organising and managing the site activities * Carry out ‘toolbox talks’ in line with the work areas programme and maintain records * Ensure that adequate site records are maintained including but not limited to Site Managers reports, daily diary, weekly labour, plant, materials and goods returned, progress photographs, site inductions, and health and safety records * Able to demonstrate a good level of financial knowledge in meeting the business and customer objectives * Liaise with residents and client representatives * Managing of the Construction Programme and ensuring milestones are met in line with company and client targets. About You Candidates must have proven experience in the planned works sector, ideally within the social housing sector / local authority works although this is not essential; managing the development and performance of all aspects of contract operations including KPI’s & financial reports. Candidates will also have a strong track record of maintaining and building strong customer relationships and managing multi-site workforces. Key Skills and Qualifications * Experience managing a variety of projects from £250k-£5m * Previous Quantity Surveying/Contract Management experience within the refurbishment sector both internals and externals (experience of new builds is a benefit). * Proven track record in successfully managing a project * Literate and numerate with good IT Skills with a range of packages is essential including Microsoft Projects and excel * Self-motivated and ambitious * CSCS card * NVQ / Degree in Surveying (or other built environment) (preferred but not essential) * MCIOB or MRICS (or working to towards) (Preferred but not essential)
