Ensure all maintenance records are completed accurately using CAFM systems and other digital management tools. Interpret and work from instructions, drawings and specifications with minimal supervision. Carry out works in line with current regulations, codes of practice, Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations and relevant healthcare technical guidance. Maintain workshops, tools, equipment and working areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition. Ensure response and rectification times are met, with repairs completed diligently and without unnecessary delay. Take immediate corrective action in emergency situations to reduce risk to people, property and service provision. Support condition surveys, lifecycle planning and accurate recording of plant and equipment information. Undertake any reasonable duties required to maintain services across the estate. About You The ideal candidate will have a strong multi-skilled maintenance background and be confident working in a busy facilities or estates environment. Previous experience within healthcare, hospital estates, PFI or facilities management would be highly advantageous. Essential Requirements Indentured apprenticeship or equivalent trade training. Relevant trade qualifications, such as City & Guilds or equivalent. Experience within mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building services or general maintenance. Ability to work from drawings, technical instructions and specifications. Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures. Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks effectively. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance. Relevant Qualifications May Include City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering Level 2 or 3. City & Guilds Plumbing / Pipefitting Level 2 or 3. Electrical Installation qualifications such as City & Guilds 236, 2360, 2330 or 2357. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
