What You ll Be Doing: Working closely with the Mechanical Package Manager to manage QA processes, from initial setup through to final close-out. Coordinating the mechanical programme alongside other trades, package leads, consulting engineers, and client teams. Supporting cost control for the mechanical package, including subcontractors, materials, plant, variations, and valuations. Managing day-to-day mechanical site activities to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery. Attending key site, engineering, planning, coordination, and handover meetings. Assisting with project close-out, including O&M manuals, snagging, safety documentation, and QA records. What They re Looking For: A relevant mechanical or engineering qualification, or strong industry experience in a similar role. Proven experience on complex or mission-critical projects. Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard site systems. Strong communication skills and fluency in English. Flexibility to travel and work internationally. A proactive, organised approach with the ability to perform well under pressure. Key responsibilities will include: Managing and coordinating the delivery of mechanical installation works across the project. Providing leadership to mechanical site teams, supervisors, engineers and specialist subcontractors. Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, RAMS and project requirements. Planning and coordinating mechanical works to meet programme and key project milestones. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider construction team to ensure effective coordination of M&E activities. Managing mechanical subcontractors and supply chain partners, ensuring performance, productivity and quality requirements are achieved. Reviewing construction methodologies, programmes, RAMS and technical documentation. Monitoring progress and reporting against programme requirements. Coordinating with design teams to resolve technical queries, design changes and site issues. Ensuring mechanical installations are completed to the required quality standards and in accordance with project specifications. Working closely with the QA/QC team to ensure inspection and testing requirements are achieved. Supporting commissioning, testing, snagging and handover activities. Managing interfaces between mechanical systems, electrical services, civil works and other disciplines. Ensuring all works are undertaken in accordance with relevant rail projects Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, environmental and quality standards. Attending progress, coordination and stakeholder meetings as required. Ideally, you will have: Proven experience managing mechanical construction activities on large-scale projects. A strong mechanical engineering or installation background. Experience working within rail, infrastructure or other highly regulated environments . Experience managing mechanical subcontractors and specialist supply chains. Strong understanding of construction programmes, sequencing and project delivery. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and technical documentation. Experience with RAMS, permits, inspections, testing and quality processes.
