Mechanical Project Manager Opportunity - Flagship Pharmaceutical Scheme - Surrey MK Search are curently working with a well respected M&E Contractor with a strong presence in the commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare and fit out sectors who are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a major pharmaceutical scheme in Surrey. You will initially be tasked with delivering £2m of mechancial services on one of the buildings of a £60m MEP value pharmaceutical scheme. Responsibilities: Knowledgable with the engineering and management aspects of complex mechanical packages from cradle to grave. Self starter, working to own initiative and deadlines. Experience chairing meetings and working to tight deadlines. Commercial awareness. Ability to control design risk implications. Experience preparing and presenting valuations. Ability to manage and monitor labour and resource levels throughout the projects. Requirements: ONC/HNC in Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) 3-5 years experience in a project manager role Fully site based with the need to attend monthly meetings in their head office. Core Talent are currently looking for a mechanically biased M&E Project Manager with at least 5 years' experience in the refurbishment of residential and commercial properties to join a leading contractor in the Kingston-upon-Thames area. This is a permanent role offering upwards of £75,000 per annum for the right candidate. You will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of M&E projects across South West London ensuring high standards of quality, health and safety are met at all times. You will be responsible for the project team, reporting directly into the Project Director.
Role Responsibilities:
To manage resources on the project on a day to day basis and to report any staff issues as appropriate.
Communicate with the client to identity their requirements and ensure projects are always completed to their requirements, budgets and deadlines
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and appropriately documented.
Ensure health and safety throughout the project is managed to the highest standard
Attends meetings and is prepared to travel as required
Manage project commercial and issues and produce cost reporting (WIP).
Represent the company on any internal or external issues.
Prepare detailed plans to administer the project and ensure the project team are familiar with them and are following these guidelines.
Regularly audit the project to ensure compliance.
Communicate with the project team regularly on project specific matters and company initiatives.
Managing procurement, labour and sub-contractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years M&E Experience with a strong bias in mechanical
Relevant trade background or Degree Qualified (Mechancial Engineering)
Experience working on high-rise residential projects
Good knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM regulations
Excellent management and communications
Excellent Computer Skills - MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel.
Recognized qualification in Project Management - preferred
