Customer Service Operative - Surrey/Berkshire/Hampshire - Permanent - £40,000 - Van and Fuel Card Wheatstone Solutions are working with a House Builder looking to recruit an experienced Customer Service Operative into the team. The duties of the role will be to carry out a high standard of customer service and multi trades / maintenance works within customers' homes. This includes works from Carpentry, Plumbing, Decorating, Painting, Tiling throughout the warranty period. Duties of the role: Attend appointments for remediation of defects in occupied properties and complete any repairs or defects to a high standard. Liaise with the Customer Care Team based in Head Office. Ensure all required materials and resources are available prior to attending customers appointments. Always maintain a high standard of professionalism and that excellent Customer Service is delivered. Maintain cleanliness of the van, ensuring it is always clean and tidy and any faults or issues are reported. Ensure the customers home is prepared prior to works to ensure upmost cleanliness on the finishing of projects. Report to the team once appointments and tasks are completed and report back any issues or escalations that need to be noted. Ensure the highest level of Health and Safety adhered to at all times. Work with the Customer Care team to ensure that any particular build or remedial patterns are arising in customers homes. Skills Required: You must have experience working for a House Builder / Housing Association within a similar role such as Multi Trade Technician / Operative or have experience as a Multi Trader in occupied homes. Owing to a vast increase in units delivered and continued & exciting growth plans they are looking to add an additional Customer Care Operative (Technician) to their existing regional Customer Care team. You will be working on post-completion properties ensuring all defects are rectified within a professional and timely manner, working in customers homes, liaising with customers on issues raised and putting right, within their 2 year defects period. The duties of the role will be to carry out a high standard of customer service and multi trades / maintenance works within occupied homes. This includes works from: Carpentry, Plumbing, Decorating, Painting, Mastic, Tiling etc throughout the warranty period. The role: Meet with customers in their homes and carry out works to a high-quality and timely manner. Working along-side contractors as necessary to ensure all works are carried out as necessary. Keeping the company updated regarding works that are finished. Travel across the region covered as necessary. Adhering to Health & Safety policies at all times. The Opportunity: As a Multi trade Technician, you will be responsible for completing repairs within our customers homes. This role requires a high quality of work and excellent customer care that will help exceed our customers expectations. Requirements As a Multi Skilled Technician, you will be required to carry out a wide range of maintenance works in our occupied and unoccupied properties including carpentry, basic plumbing, tiling, groundworks. You will receive work orders through your PDA and be given appointment times to attend. You will need to identify the right, cost effective solution to problems that you attend and complete those repairs to a good standard and with the minimum inconvenience to the customer. * As part of our Repairs Field Team you will be customer facing, knowledgeable and capable with high standards of workmanship. You will also have exceptional organisational skills, be self-motivated, reliable and prompt. * You must be able to work without supervision and have experience of identifying the most cost-effective way to repair a fault, including estimating how long it will take to complete, ordering of materials through to job completion. The skills you will need: Ideally you will hold a Carpentry qualification. You must have multi skilled trades experience in other areas such as basic plumbing, tiling, plastering, fencing and groundworks. You must have a full clean UK driving licence as we will provide you with a fully stocked van, PPE and power tools. You will be expected to participate in an out of hours rota, typically one week in seven, for which there is additional payment. In addition to your technical skills you will be fluent in English and able to easily engage with a variety of people at all levels. Benefits Competitive Salary up to £34,300 per annum. A fully stocked company van, fuel card, PPE and power tools will be provided. An additional payment for being on the out-of-hours rota.
