Planner / Programmer - High-End residential Refurbishment)
Could suit a contracts manager who no longer wants that responsibility, but has the planning skills
North West London
Permanent
Circa £80,000 - £90,000 + package (negotiable for the right person)
One of London's most exclusive, high quality construction and refurbishment contractors is looking for a Planner / Programmer to fulfil a new role within the company.
The contractor typically works on projects ranging from £2m - £10m on bespoke super prime residential projects in the most exclusive of London postcodes.
Painting the picture:
In short, the Planner / Programmer would work in conjunction with, and support, the contracts managers and teams on site. As it stands, the contracts managers are heavily involved with, and are able to deal with the tender programmes and general planning of the jobs, but they would certainly benefit from someone who focuses on this areas to free up their time to be used elsewhere.
Some staff use Asta, others Microsoft Projects - the business would ideally like to create a universal way of doing things. They are working different programmes in different ways, and have different ways at looking at and presenting things. It would be nice to bring it all together.
Critical paths, drop lines and procurement integration skills etc. needed. The jobs they carry out have gone from £2m - £4m to £6m - £10m so they need to take pressure off the Contracts Managers.
The Planner / Programmer would update on all of their projects, and offer a more strategic view on programmes - someone who will be on the outside of the woods looking in so to speak.
High-end residential experience isn't necessarily essential but experience of cut & carve, old buildings, making big openings, temporary works etc. is.
If you have the relevant experience as stated above and would like to apply for this Planner / Programmer Job in north west London, then please email an updated CV to roberta @(url removed)
